Although a controversial choice of graphics cards, an Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti 16GB model is now cheaper on Amazon than some 8GB models. It is down to specific models that offer these prices but it does mean you can get the slightly better GPU for a much better price compared to when it was released.

Right now you can snatch up the Zotac 4060 Ti 16GB AMP for just $429.99, down from its launch price of a massive $499. Whilst on the other hand, the ASUS TUF 4060 Ti 8GB is over $439. giving you the 8GB of extra memory for a lot cheaper than the lesser model but it’s still up to debate if it’s a good job overall.

Should you buy the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB?

We did get a Zotac RTX 4060 Ti review to find out if it is still a capable card. Well, it does still bring a strong performance where it is capable of pushing 1440p frame rates, especially turning down the graphics where possible.

But it also comes with Nvidia’s latest Ada architecture, providing you with a great performance and efficiency level to that power as well. Being an Nvidia GPU it does bring an overall strength for the GPU with the ray tracing capabilities and rendering speed it has to offer especially compared to AMD GPUs at this level.

The initial price of the card made it a lot more unwelcome considering the 8GB upgrade cost $100. This new deal makes it a lot more of a good budget GPU choice for your gaming PC.

What the 4060 Ti 16GB has to offer

  1. Boost Clock 2595 MHz: This represents the maximum clock speed at which the graphics card’s GPU can operate under load, providing increased performance during demanding tasks such as gaming or rendering that can overclock for even higher speeds.
  2. 16GB GDDR6, 128-bit, 18 Gbps, PCIE 4.0: These specifications detail the memory configuration and bandwidth of the graphics card. It features 16GB of GDDR6 memory with a 128-bit memory bus width and a memory speed of 18 Gbps. Additionally, it supports PCIe 4.0, which offers higher bandwidth and faster data transfer rates compared to previous generations.
  3. IceStorm 2.0 Advanced Cooling: IceStorm 2.0 is an advanced cooling solution designed to keep the graphics card’s temperature in check during intensive tasks. It likely consists of multiple heat pipes, heatsinks, and fans strategically placed to efficiently dissipate heat generated by the GPU.
  4. SPECTRA RGB Lighting: SPECTRA RGB Lighting refers to customizable RGB lighting elements on the graphics card, allowing users to personalize the aesthetics of their system with various colors and effects.
  5. 2x 90mm fans, FREEZE Fan Stop, Active Fan Control: These features further describe the cooling system of the graphics card. It includes two 90mm fans for airflow, FREEZE Fan Stop technology to halt fan operation during low-load or idle situations to reduce noise and save power, and Active Fan Control for dynamically adjusting fan speeds based on temperature and load.
  6. Metal Backplate: A metal backplate provides structural reinforcement to the graphics card and helps dissipate heat, improving overall stability and cooling performance while also offering aesthetic appeal.
  7. 3 x DisplayPort 1.4a, 1 x HDMI 2.1a: These are the available video output ports on the graphics card, allowing users to connect various display devices such as monitors, TVs, or VR headsets. DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1a are the respective versions of these interfaces, supporting high resolutions, refresh rates, and other advanced features.
