Today we’ll be taking a look at which GPU is the closest performance-wise to the RTX 2060. If you had your eyes on the RTX 2060, but just couldn’t find the right card for you, or at the right price, maybe an alternative is best. Although this GPU is a few years old at this point, it doesn’t mean it’s lacking in power. That all depends what you want to use it for, of course.
The GPU equivalent to the RTX 2060 is the RX 5700. The RX 5700 and the 5700 XT of AMD’s Radeon RX 5700 series “Navi” graphics cards first competed against the NVIDIA RTX 2060 Super and RTX 2070 Super, respectively. The Radeon RX 5700 XT from AMD and the GeForce RTX 2060 from Nvidia are currently two of the leading contenders for the title of the greatest graphics card.

CHECK PRICEThe RTX 2070 through RTX 2080 Ti are all quicker than them, so they’re not the fastest GPUs available – or at least, Nvidia’s GPU isn’t the company’s quickest option – but they’re two of the greatest overall deals. We’re here to select a winner among these two cards, which are both available for roughly $400 and represent the lower end of the high-end GPU market.
Since then, the situation has significantly changed. An RX 5700 is currently available for as little as $308, which is a little less than the RTX 2060 (non-Super). On the other side, the cost of RTX GPUs has grown somewhat. At $329, the RTX 2060 KO is now $20 more expensive than the 5700. With far higher performance for every dollar spent, AMD’s offers are now much more competitive than those of its NVIDIA competitors.

According to the revised pricing, the Radeon RX 5700 now competes with the GeForce RTX 2060, while the $400 market is contested by the RX 5700 XT and RTX 2060 Super. In this article, we’ll compare the first at 1080p and 1440p to determine which graphics card in the sub-$350 market gives the best value.
This outcome was expected overall and wasn’t a surprise. The RX 5700 is a fantastic graphics card for the money.
It outperforms its considerably more expensive Super counterpart while providing performance that is noticeably better than the similarly priced RTX 2060 at just over $300. In essence, you are purchasing a higher-tier card for the cost of a mid-range item. There is no better option than that.
This GPU is a few years old, but it’s still worth considering if you can find the right price. With new generations here to replace it, there are definitely a few newer options out there which will trump the RTX 2060 without breaking the bank. The RTX 3050 or RX 6600 come to mind.
