After much anticipation, LG’s new 2022 OLED TVs have officially launched in the UK today, seeing prices of the brand’s 2021 series TVs drop by 10% (when using the the LG10 discount code at checkout).

LG’s OLED TV lineup is easily one of the most popular in today’s market – offering up the perfect combination of price and performance. The most sort after TV in the range seems to be the brand’s mid-class ‘C2’ series – the successor to the hugely popular C1 from 2021.

While there is plenty of excitement around the brand’s new OLED TV lineup, higher than expected pricing has seen some individuals look for alternatives. Luckily, LG are running a special at their storefront now, with 2021 models featuring a 10% discount between 23rd-29th March 2022.

The discount will be available to all 2021 TVs within the OLED, QNED, NanoCell, UHD, and FHD lineups.

LG 2022 OLED TV release date & specs

At last, the LG 2022 OLED TV officially launches in the UK. That said, consumers have been able to pre-order the new LG C2 and G2 lineups for sometime now – with deliveries heading out over the last couple of weeks.

Thankfully, you can now head into your local electronics store and pick up a TV without the hassle of waiting for its delivery.

The specifications of the OLED TV lineups have also been released in full, with LG’s new Evo OLED panel now deployed in all G2 and C2 models. The Evo OLED panel will offer greater peak brightness which should translate to a more lifelike experience overall. Better still, HDR will be greatly increased thanks to a higher peak brightness, with overall image quality in daylight conditions also improving.

A new gen 5 processor can also be expected for LG’s 2022 OLED TV lineup, delivering much better performance across the board. Furthermore, LG has expanded its screen sizes to incorporate a much wider variety of options for consumers. We’ll also see the company’s first-ever 42-inch OLED TV this year, featuring all the same high-end features as the other sizes in the range.

An upgraded UX will be deployed for the OLED 2022 lineup, coming in the shape of WebOS 2022. The newest version of LG’s innovative smart TV platform will deliver a number of personalization options which include; customizable user profiles, more apps and content services, and all the same game-tailor specifications that came with last year’s 2021 model.
