The MSI Meg X570 Unify. No RBG, No Problem

We all love a good dose of RGB here at WePC – but can you actually get bored of it? Well, MSI seems to think so as they launch a new, all-black motherboard.

MSI MEG X570 Unify

Never has a marketing campaign spoke more to my soul as this one. MSI announced their new motherboard with a tweet asking buyers to “embrace the darkness” and showcasing their new offering against a black backdrop, accompanied by a dragon.

Embrace the MEG #X570 UNIFY, embrace the darkness, this all black beast is on the way to join your lineup, stay tuned for this big guy!

We’ve still only been given this little teaser of the MEG X570 Unify, but it’s enough to get us all excited. While RGB may look pretty, I’m loving the idea of an all-black build to embrace my inner goth.

MEG X570 Unify Specs

We don’t have our hands on any specific specs just yet, but from this image alone, we can clearly see three reinforced PCI Express x16 slots. It also looks like we’ll get onboard power and reset buttons, and even an LED debug. So, there is some lighting after all.

No launch date or price point to speak of though. All we know is that it’s “coming soon”. But, who knows what they mean by that? “Soon” could mean by Halloween (which, let’s face it, would work very well with this design), or it could mean early next year.

I guess we’ll just have to keep our eye on MSI for more updates.

X570 Motherboards

If you just can’t wait to get your hands on this beauty, there are still plenty of awesome X570 Motherboards out there to choose from. Our top pick is still the Gigabyte X570 Aorus Extreme because it’s perfect for high-end AMD builds. This is going to work great with your new Ryzen 3000 chips.

But, if you’re working to a budget, then the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi is a great mid-range choice. And, you get to experience MSI’s signature RGB, so you can get your fix before switching to an all-black version.

Final Word

We know how popular RBG everything is right now, and it does look very aesthetically pleasing. But, if you’re like me, and enjoy a touch of the dark side, the MSI MEG X570 Unity is a great all-black option.

What do you think? Do you prefer RBG or all-black? Let us know in the comments!
