MSI X570 Motherboards At CES 2020

CES 2020 has played host to some fantastic technology from our favorite brands, and, as we love gaming at WePC, MSI could not be missed! MSI hit the event with several innovations of their own, from new prebuilt ideas to improved gaming laptops. The products that really caught our eye over at WePC was the all-new X570 Tomahawk WiFi and Creator TRX40 motherboards.

MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI

That’s right, we are getting a B450 brought into the X570 family. The all-new Tomahawk will continue to look similar to its B450 predecessor, with a military-style aesthetic and black heatsinks. This tough, longlasting motherboard will be made for the high-end 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs, with enhanced thermal solutions and digital PWM IC design.  The MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk will have a 12 phase CPU power delivery and supports fast RAM too.

Aside from the core boost technology, we see the Frozr heatsink design, which integrates a double ball-bearing fan and larger surface area to provide better temperatures. This board will feature WiFi and comes with 2.5G gaming LAN and the latest WiFi6 solution for high-bandwidth and incredible data transfer speeds.

  • 24-pin ATX connector
  • 4 x DDR4 DIMM slots (supporting speeds beyond 4600 MHz)
  • up to 128GB DRAM capacity

  • dual M.2 slots
  • M.2 heatsinks
  • 6 x SATA III ports
  • USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports

Creator TRX40

It’s worth noting we also saw the announcement of the Creator TRX40 motherboard for the new Threadripper processors. These new models will feature an aggressive VRM design, 16 phases 70A digital power and three SOC power phases for some stability. As you would expect from a TRX40, these will also come with 10G and Pro WiFi.

Final Word

The MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK looks set to be released over the next three months and will be reasonably priced, with it retailing around $200.
