Corsair is no stranger to creating top-quality PC peripherals and components, but this is the first time it’s ventured into the world of computer desks. However, it’s not the first time Corsair has made a piece of furniture. Corsair’s new Platform:6 has been turning heads at Gamescom 2023 and for good reason. Corsair announces Platform:6.

Introducing Corsair’s Platform:6

Corsair’s Platform:6 is the company’s first time venturing into the PC desk market, and it offers a wide range of features other than just being aesthetically pleasing.

Thankfully, Corsair’s Platform:6 is due to launch in Q4 this year, which means you don’t have to wait too long to purchase what seems to be the ultimate desk experience. Tacked on to sweeten the deal is a 5-year warranty from Corsair, to rival that of other companies in the same space.

The features of the new Platform:6 from Corsair cater to a wide range of lifestyles, ensuring it meets the needs of various users, from dedicated PC gamers to remote workers seeking an organized home workspace.

With a spacious six-foot wide surface area that can be further expanded, the Platform:6 accommodates high-end PCs, comprehensive streaming setups, and an array of accessories.

The standard features of the Platform:6

Every Platform:6 is equipped with a host of standard features designed to enhance user experience. Pre-installed dual monitor arms facilitate a dual-monitor setup, while the oversized Corsair RapidRoute wire management tray conceals cables and accommodates power strips.

The desk also incorporates an in-desk storage cubby with USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports, further contributing to a clutter-free workspace suitable for complex gaming or professional setups.

Customization is key

The emphasis on customization is a standout feature of Platform:6, offering multiple configurations that allow users to tailor their desks to their requirements and available space.

This personalization is facilitated through Corsair’s online configurator, enabling customers to design their perfect Platform:6 or choose from a selection of predefined bundles for optimal value.

A notable aspect of Platform:6’s design is its future-oriented approach. The desk’s modular rail system, built with universal standard aluminum T-channel crossbars, side rails, and top-mounted rails, accommodates a wide range of aftermarket attachments and accessories.

Adjustable height

For those seeking an adjustable height option, Platform:6 offers a variant with dual electric motors. This feature allows users to effortlessly adjust the desk surface to their preferred height using an LCD readout controller with memory presets.

The desk’s surface is available in a choice of classic dark walnut-stained environmentally friendly rubberwood or sturdy black laminate.

Expandability

The concept of expandability is central to Platform:6’s design philosophy. Side extensions can be added to the desk for an extra 30cm x 70cm of space, alongside optional hanging pegboards.

The exclusive Elgato Multi Frame top-mounted pegboard amplifies organization possibilities, with adapters for Elgato Multi-Mount and Flex Arm products for direct attachment of Key Lights, cameras, or microphones to the rail system.

Platform:6 Creator edition

The flagship Platform:6 Creator Edition includes the Elgato Multi Frame expansion, adjustable height functionality, and a rubberwood surface. Custom configurations can be created and purchased using the online configurator upon Platform:6’s official launch.

How much does the Corsair Platform:6 cost?

We actually do know the prices thanks to the unveiling at Gamescom 2023, hold onto your wallets because it’s not a cheap desk by any means.

The Basic edition of the desk is £999, this is a standalone desk that cannot be adjusted for height via motor. If you want a motorized desk, it’ll cost you anywhere from £1,399 to £1,799. Unfortunately, that’s about all the information we have regarding pricing.
