A new Corsair gaming laptop announced at Computex 2022 not only marks the company’s first foray into the gaming laptop space but also looks to be the market’s first-ever dedicated streaming laptop. At this early stage, only a few details are known regarding the internal configurations of these high-end laptops. However, with streaming a key factor in its design, we can only speculate that the new Corsair Voyager streaming laptops will be incredibly powerful.
While Corsair is a common name in the peripherals, RAM, and SSD business, the brand has never dipped its metaphorical toe in the laptop pond – not until now anyway. Unfortunately, there is no specific release date for the Corsair streaming laptop – only suggestions of “summer 2022”.

What makes this a Corsair streaming laptop?
While the Corsair Voyager is very much a gaming-tailored laptop, one of the big talking points of AMD’s Computex keynote was its ability to stream on the go. AMD’s Frank Azor is calling the new Streaming laptop a “truly mobile streaming solution” – suggesting that high-performance internal hardware will be used upon its eventual release.
Additionally, Elgato hardware will take care of the streaming side of things, equipped with the brand’s FHD “streaming grade” webcam -supported by the Camera Hub software suite. More impressive, however, is the built-in stream deck that sits between the keyboard and screen of this laptop. The 10-key streaming command system will work seamlessly with the built-in Elgato Stream Deck software – allowing users to achieve a high-quality stream from any location they choose.
What will the Corsair gaming laptop price be?
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, there is no official Corsair Voyager price. That said, we can speculate on the potential pricing by looking at other high-end gaming laptops announced recently.
Based on the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro Gen 7 and XMG Neo 15 E22 – two high-end 16-inch laptops that feature powerful specifications – we can expect the entry-level Corsair Voyager streaming laptops to retail somewhere between $1,800 and $2,000. Of course, this is purely speculation at this stage – with no real indication of the exact pricing just yet.
Corsair are often seen as a premium brand, however, so expect to fork out a few bucks for this high-end laptop.
Why you should consider buying the Corsair gaming laptop?
Let’s be honest, while there isn’t a great deal of information regarding this Corsair gaming laptop just yet, it still strikes me as one of the most anticipated laptops of 2022 – especially when you consider the sheer popularity of streaming and gaming.
But should you consider buying the Corsair Voyager this summer? Well, that’s a tricky one at this stage – mainly because we don’t actually know that much regarding the price and specs of this laptop.
However, if Corsair executes this laptop well, it could very well be the start of a new era of gaming/streaming laptops. If you’re looking for a compact streaming unit that you can take anywhere with ease, this could very well be the next thing on your shopping list.
When will the Corsair laptop come out?
At the time of writing this, we only have a rough guide to suggest the official release date of this new Corsair gaming laptop / streaming laptop. According to AMD’s Computex 2022 keynote, the unofficial Corsair Voyager release date is set for ‘Summer 2022’.
That being said, early rumors are circulating on Reddit and other popular forums suggesting June 2022 is more likely. However, with several release date pushbacks already this year, we’ll take that with a pinch of salt for now.
