We’ve been busy covering all sorts of tech emerging at CES 2024 and the time has come to check out the LG B4 OLED TV release date. We’ll also be discussing important aspects such as the LG B4 price and specs in time for launch. So, before you go ahead and figure out where to buy the LG B4, we suggest you continue reading on for more details.

Other big announcements in regards to LG TVs include the C4 and G4, two OLED TVs which are higher up the tiers in terms of specifications. In contrast, the B4 sits as a slightly more budget-friendly pick, while still delivering the excellent quality you expect from OLED. If that sounds like your kind of thing, then you’re in the right place.

LG B4 OLED TV release date

Before we get into our release date prediction, it’s always a good idea to look back at previous release dates to get a clear idea of any emerging or existing patterns:

  • LG B1 release date: April 2021
  • LG B2 release date: March 2022
  • LG B3 release date: April 2023

Based on the past data, it looks like the LG B4 is set for release between March-April 2024, which is a similar time frame to both the C4 and G4. The latest news regarding the release date is that the B4 is now available for pre order on the LG store, meaning that release day is closer than ever. However, LG haven’t yet specified a launch day, but we expect it in late March or early April based on what we already know from the pre order/release schedule of their other OLED series. Since then, it has since been listed on Amazon and is available to buy as of March 18th, 2024, though not every single size is available as of this date.

LG B4 price revealed

Usually we see the cheaper A-series option from LG, but nothing was announced at CES 2024, so the B4 looks to be the cheapest of the range currently. Below we’ve compared the brand-new B4 with last gen’s B3 prices, and we can see that there has been some changes to a couple of models. We don’t yet know the price of the 48-inch model, however, the 48″ C4 sets you back $1,599.99 and we expect the 48″ B4 to be a few hundred dollars cheaper.

SizeLG B4 priceLG B3 price
48″TBAN/A
55″$1,699$1,699
65″$2,199$2,399
77″$3,399$3,299

With this new 48″ SKU soon being added into the mix, it really helps the B4’s chances against something like the LG C4 which goes as low as 42″ for more budget-minded consumers on the hunt for a budget HDMI 2.1 TV. The strange thing at the moment is that the the 48-inch model is missing.

LG B4 specs & features

Alongside the gaming features we saw on the B3 and fully expect for the B4, there a few interesting changes to the specs here. We assume that the B4 will feature the LG Game Optimizer, VRR (via HDMI 2.1) and AMD FreeSync.

ConnectivityHDMI 2.1 (x4)

With the switch to four HDMI 2.1 ports instead of two and a smaller 48″ variant, the LG B4 looks to be a more versatile choice. It’s predecessor was already a great gaming TV in its own right, but this 4th iteration really looks like excellent value for money against something like the C4 as the differences between them has minimized.

LG B4 release date, price & specs FAQs

Is the LG B4 worth it?

The LG B4 is an excellent option if you’re looking for a high-quality OLED TV which is a little more budget-friendly. Despite not reaching the same kind of brightness as the C4 or above, the B4 holds its own and is well worth considering.

Should I buy the LG B4 or C4?

The gap between the LG B4 and C4 is closing, making the B4 a much more appealing option compared to previous years’ models. The B4 now features four HDMI 2.1 ports as well as the new Alpha 8 AI processor.

Ultimately the decision is up to you, but we’d recommend the B4 if you don’t need the extra brightness or just want to save some cash.
