The MSI Raider GE67 HX with 240Hz OLED laptop display is the latest in the MSI gaming laptop series and brings with it the most high-end cutting-edge tech you’ll find in any gaming laptop. Details are sparse at the moment of this new machine: we don’t yet know the MSI Raider GE67 HX release date, nor do we have any news on price at this stage (though you can guarantee it will be one of the most expensive gaming laptops out there). Read below for everything we do know.

MSI Raider GE67 HX specs – what we know

As detailed on the Nvidia Computex 2022 page, the MSI Raider GE67 HX will be equipped with up to a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti laptop GPU, and we can expect an RTX 3070 Ti laptop option to also be available.

The CPU options (as the HX in the name would indicate) come in the way of the latest HX series from Intel: these are the most powerful CPUs on the market, with up to 16 cores (8 performance and 8 efficiency cores) equalling a total of 24 threads. The high-end Intel 12th gen Alder Lake CPUs were already market leaders in terms of both single-core and multi-core performance, but these new processors extend this lead by some margin. There’s no definitive confirmation yet but expect to see options for at least the Intel Core i7-12800HX and the hugely powerful i9-12900HX.

The maximum memory capacity is apparently a ridiculous 128GB of DDR5 4800 MHz RAM (though we don’t know if higher speed options will be available). There aren’t many people who would need this much RAM over the next few years, certainly not for gaming, but we can’t help but be impressed regardless. SSDs support is based on PCI Express Gen5 16x, which makes for extra fast speeds.

240Hz OLED laptop models

MSI Raider GE 67 HX 240Hz OLED laptop vs Razer Blade 15 240Hz OLED laptop

We’re not sure whether there will be cheaper, non-OLED models available of the MSI Raider GE67 HX made available (we would assume so), nor do we know what resolution options will be available (though we expect at least a 1440p/1600p option), but the big attraction of the laptop is probably the 240Hz OLED screen option.

Razer were the first to announce the world’s first 240Hz OLED laptop display earlier this year, but whether or not they’ll be the first to release one on the market remains to be seen. This Razer Blade 15 OLED model had a 1440p resolution, and a very quick 1ms response time, not to mention 100% DCI-P3 coverage and 400 nits of brightness. We can expect the MSI version to be similar if not identical.

Will there be a MSI Raider GE77 HX with 240Hz OLED display?

We definitely know that the 17-inch version of the Raider, the MSI Raider GE77 HX, is coming out, though we haven’t seen any conclusive evidence yet that this iteration will be equipped with the 240Hz OLED display. We do however think that the odds are good this option will also be available for the larger model.

Final Word

We trust you’re all excited to see what the MSI Raider GE67 HX can do when the first reviewers get their hands on it, besides its awesome power, the prospect of 240Hz OLED laptop display becoming a reality is quite something.
