There are currently 13 playable Disney Speedstorm characters at the time of the closed Beta, though we expect more to come out over time. Read below for everything you need to know about the different stats of each playable character in this new free-to-play, MarioKart-esque, Disney racing game.
List of Disney Speedstorm characters
Below is a list of all the characters that we know are definitely coming to the game, though it’s likely that additional characters will be released over time if the game proves successful. Most characters come as a pair from each of their various film / tv series, with the exception so far being Sulley (aka James P. Sullivan) from Monsters Inc. Whether we’ll see a Boo or Mike Wazowski down the line remains to be seen.
Each character has a unique ultimate / special ability as well as different stats (Top Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Boost, Combat) though these can be upgraded each time you Level up your character. We’ve listed the starting stats of each below where possible.
Only the abilities of three characters (Mickey Mouse, Sulley, and Mulan) were mentioned in the trailer, and it will take a bit of playing of the Beta until we know the abilities of each character, but as we experience more Beta gameplay we’ll be updating this page accordingly.

When can I play Disney Speedstorm?
The official Disney Speedstorm release date has yet to be announced, though if you’re a PC gamer you may still have chance to play the Disney Speedstorm closed beta, which has run since June 8th 2022. For console gamers you’ll have to wait until the full release of the game to play your favorite Disney Speedstorm characters, though it shouldn’t be too long off now.
While the closed beta is just for PC at the moment, Disney Speedstorm will fully release cross-platform for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game is said to be free-to-play and will support crossplay.
