UPDATE: We can now confirm that the Mace of Hearts Pickaxe is also awarded to players accounts automatically after completing just 30 minutes in the incredibly fun Synthrace Qualifier. Even if you’re not planning on submitting your times, we can highly recommend giving this Deathrun/motor racing creative map a try.
Fortnite is once again celebrating the talents of Content Creators in another Creative Mayhem event. And with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, the theme is Love is in the Air! (Thanks, rub it in, Epic…) As such, you’ll find the Mace of Hearts Pickaxe and Love Reigns Emoticon both up for grabs during this Fortnite event!
The event involves both Creators and Players as anyone is able to get their hands on some exclusive cosmetic items. Simply by signing up and participating in Creative Mode – specifically, the Creative Mayhem map – you can earn the new Emoticon and Pickaxe. However, a selection of the most successful map runners could be in with a chance of playing Fortnite with their favorite Content Creators. Want to play alongside Loserfruit or Grefg? How to claim Fortnite Mace of Hearts Pickaxe and Love Reigns Emoticon
These two cosmetic items are available to anyone. All you need to do to get started is head to the Creative Mayhem website and sign into your Epic Games account. We found that we were rewarded with the Love Reigns Emoticon – gifted just for signing up – almost immediately after logging in.
You’ll have to work a bit harder for the Harvesting Tool, though. To get the Mace of Hearts Pickaxe in Fortnite, you’ll need to play the featured Creative Mayhem Regional Qualifier map for at least 30 minutes. To access the map, you’ll need to enter the Island Code in the image below. We’ve not done this just yet (all work and no play), but we’re guessing that, once you’ve signed in and earned the Emoticon, your account should be associated with the event, and the Pickaxe will be automatically awarded sometime after completing the 30-minute playtime. We’ll let you know once we’ve been able to test this out.
How to enter Fortnite Island Code
It’s pretty simple to load up a Creative map using its island code. Simply launch Fortnite, hit the button to change game mode, then tab across to the Island Code tab, as per the image below. Then, just enter the code, and hit play!
How to sign up for Creative Mayhem Tournament
To be in with a chance of playing Fortnite with one of your favorite Content Creators, you need to prove you’ve got what it takes by submitting your best times in the Creative Mayhem Regional Qualifier Map.
You can submit more than one attempt – so just keep trying and entering – but make sure you’re recording your gameplay, as you’ll need to upload the evidence to Youtube. When you have the footage of your best run uploaded to YouTube, head back to the Creative Mayhem website to submit your time. Simply choose your favorite Content Creator from a predetermined list, choose your Region, and enter your email address, completion time and the link to your YouTube submission.
When are Fortnite Creative Mayhem submissions open?
Submissions will be accepted between February 7th, 2022, at 6am PST/9am EST/2pm GMT, and February 14th at the same time. After this point, submissions will be checked and top qualifiers will be invited to take part in the Creative Mayhem map alongside their chosen Creators. Each region will go up against each other in an epic tournament, ending on March 12th, 2022, with $100,000 – and regional pride – on the line. And if you’re lucky (and talented) enough to get in, don’t forget to pick your Mace of Hearts Pickaxe and Love Reigns Emoticon out of your Fortnite locker!
