Genshin Impact Update 2.7 Introduces Yelan, Aqua Simulacra, and a New Archon Quest

Genshin Impact’s 2.7 update was delayed for several weeks but it is finally coming with a brand new character, an archon quest, and a new weapon banner. Players will also get access to a new battle pass, new events, and more.
New Character: Yelan
Yelan is a hydro sub-DPS unit similar to Xingqiu. While a lot of players are comparing her meta viability to the 4-star unit, she shines if you ever felt you need two off-field hydro units. She also provided a team-wide damage buff that escalates all the way to 50%, which adds a bit of support capability to her kit. Her hydro application is useful for freeze, vaporize, and electrocharged teams and is an all-around great unit.
New Archon Quest
Update 2.6 was one of the biggest releases this year and we saw Dansleiff make a return in the previous archon quest. The quest will continue with Xiao choosing to go into the depths of the chasm and investigating it. The new quest will be available to all players who have unlocked The Chasm area and have completed the archon quest from update 2.6.
Yelan will also get her new story quest as part of the update. She is a mysterious new character who seems to have a lot of inside information and players are excited to interact with her in-game. Players are already shipping her with Shenhe, who was the previous 5-star Liyue character in update 2.4.
New Events and Content
There will be a host of new events that will be added as part of the new update. While some are very casual, there will also be some combat events that you do not want to miss out on. In addition to all of the events, there will also be a new battle pass. There are no changes to the battle pass except the new rewards if you get the upgraded version of the premium pass with a furnishing and five Fragile Resin. Coinciding with the release of the new patch is also the monthly reset which means that you can grab constellations, weapons, wishes, and more from the shop reset.
