We’ve known about the PS5-exclusive Horizon Forbidden West DLC for a while now, but today we finally got word of the Burning Shores pre-order bonuses that you can get by committing early.

Read on for more information on the DLC pre-order bonuses for Burning Shores, and what you can get instantly be pre-purchasing.

What are the Burning Shores pre-order bonuses?

As laid out cleanly and simply by the PlayStation blog, and the image below, if you commit early to Burning Shores, you’ll get two swish Blacktide items: the Blacktide Dye Outfit, and the Blacktide Sharpshot Bow. They both look, well, sharp! And will likely come in very handy as Aloy travels to Los Angeles and its now actively volcanic landscape in pursuit of yet more dangerous foes. And probably more robot dinosaurs of course.

You’ll be able to get these bonuses once you’ve made it to the first merchants in the Burning Shores DLC. And to get there, you’ll have to have completed the main game’s campaign so Aloy can receive a mystery call on her Focus and begin the new adventure…

How much does Burning Shores DLC cost?

Personally I was expecting the Burning Shores DLC to cost a pretty penny (relative for DLC anyway) and be around the $20-30/£20-30 mark. However, in most welcome news, Burning Shores is priced at a ‘more normal’ DLC price of $19.99/£15.99. As it stand it’s available only at the PlayStation Store as a digital download.

Horizon Forbidden West is one of our top picks for the best PS5 games you can play right now – and it’s not bad on PS4 either! Given its predecessor, Horizon Zero Dawn, also came to PC eventually, we reckon Forbidden West and its DLC are also coming to PC down the line too.
