Sony has released a new Horizon Forbidden West trailer, showing off plenty of new machines in the upcoming game. While there are several new machines, only three of the new Horizon Forbidden West machines got more detail, which are the armored Rollerback, Sunwing and the Slitherfang.

Horizon Forbidden West machines trailer

The new Horizon Forbidden West machines trailer features a closer look at the gameplay region of the game. The trailer’s narrator refers to the forbidden west as a place that is ruled by machines. The land is filled with a variety of animal-like machines, with the seas, rivers, and bays containing a variety of fish-like machines.

While there were many new Horizon Forbidden West machines, only three got a new profile. For example, the Horizon Forbidden West Rollerback is a giant rhino-like robot. Altneritvely, it somewhat reminds us of a Triceratops, combine with an Armadillo. The Armadillo part is in reference to it rolling into a ball to attack its foes. This is likely why it gets its name of the Rollerback.

In another scene, you can see the Sunwing. The Sunwing reminds us of a Pterodactyl, with a very wide wingspan, and a long and thin bird body. If you have played World of Warcraft during 8.2, you might feel it looks like the Mechanowing, which you get from the Mechagon rare. If you know, you know.

Lastly, there is the Slitherfang, As you might imagine from its name, it is a snake. The snake robot is massive, looking like it was pulled straight from the desert scene in the Transformers film. It can also spit corrosive acid at its foes too, making it dangerous at melee and range.

As for the other non named machines, there is a gorilla / monkey-like machine. The first scene of the trailer shocases a forest biome in the forbidden west region. You can see a bunch of robots running around, which resemble monkey-like creatures, scavenging and acting territorial. On the other hand, there are machines that look like velociraptors, which Aloy can tame and mount. Not to mention rival clans seem to be able to tame Mammoth like machines. All in all, this new Horizon Forbidden West trailer is certainly interesting as the game gets ever closer to its launch
