Fix Resident Evil 4 Remake flickering lights
In order to address the flickering lights problem on PS5 – no, Leon was not having a pocket rave as one humorous Twitter response put it! – Capcom suggests doing the following to try and fix it:
- Saving and restarting the game
- If the problem persists, try changing one of the following settings in the game’s options menu:
- Set ‘Depth of Field’ in the Display tab to off
- Set ‘Motion Blue’ in the Camera tab to off
That’s it! At least for now: Capcom and the Resident Evil team sign off the tweet and notice by saying ‘we intend to fix the issue in a future update and apologize for any inconvenience’. So, expect it to be included in a patch that will arrive with us imminently then.

It’s not the ideal start, just after the Resident Evil 4 Remake release time too, and especially for folks who want to tinker and get the best Resident Evil 4 Remake PS5 graphics settings. But the fact that it has been noticed officially and addressed publicly is most encouraging.
