Is Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Canon
Star Wars fans will be happy to know that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is indeed canon to the overall Star Wars story. This means that it takes place in the same world and timeline as every canon Star Wars show and movie you’ve watched in the past or will watch in the future.
As a matter of fact, the prequel to this game, Jedi: Fallen Order, was also confirmed to be canon, so it was pretty much expected for Jedi Survivor to be the same.
Jedi: Survivor being canon is a good thing and a bad thing as well. Although fans will be able to enjoy the game more knowing that everything story related is taking place in the world and timeline they all know and love.
It also more or less invited the creation of plot holes and makes the process of writing a story with actual stakes all the more complicated for the writers.
After all, they have to ensure the story makes sense in the grand scheme of things, because of which they aren’t able to do anything that might have a ripple effect on a past piece of Star Wars media.
