Going through the world of Star Wars alone is all well and good, but nothing beats going through a game with a friend or loved one in a co-op experience. This is exactly why so many players have been wondering if the newest game in the Star Wars universe, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, will be having the option to go through the story with a friend.

If you’ve been wondering this as well, then look no further as we’re here to give you the answer to this question once and for all.

Does Star Wars Jedi Survivor Have a Co-Op Mode?

Unfortunately, Respawn, the developers of Jedi: Survivor, have already confirmed that the game will not have any co-op whatsoever.

To be more specific, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s page on the official Star Wars website describes the sequel as another “narratively-driven, single player title”, pretty much confirming it as being a single-player-only game just like its prequel.

This does make sense in a way, as instead of custom characters like most other Soulslike games have us make, Jedi: Survivor has us fill the shoes of a completely original character.

Because of this, it would be rather odd to see two Cals running around slicing everything in their path with their lightsabers. It just doesn’t make sense to include it in a single-player narrative experience.

Does Star Wars Jedi Survivor Have a Multiplayer Mode?

Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it is being speculated that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, much like the first game, won’t be having a multiplayer mode either. This means there won’t be any way for you to go against your friends and other players in an epic lightsaber duel. Missed opportunity if you ask us.

With that being said, there have been rumors of a standalone Star Wars multiplayer game in the works by Respawn, in which case it wouldn’t make sense to include multiplayer in Jedi: Survivor.
