MSI Titan GT77 leaks, plus official information by way of Intel and MSI themselves at Computex 2022, have give us something of an idea of what to expect from the upcoming MSI gaming laptop/workstation laptop, though an official release date and pricing info remains elusive. We didn’t get an MSI Titan laptop in 2021, the last one being released back in 2020 with Intel 10th gen and Nvidia 20-series components, so we’re eager to see what this revived beast can do. Read below for everything we know.

MSI Titan GT77 vs MSI GE77 Raider

Being touted as the ‘Ultimate Desktop Replacement’ laptop, the new MSI Titan GT77 2022 version, like its predecessors, goes beyond what you’d expect even in a high-end gaming laptop in terms of RAM and SSD capacity. Previous iterations didn’t necessarily beat the older versions of the MSI GE77 Raider in terms of raw graphics power, but they had superior overclocking ability and cooling solutions, improving both the longevity of the laptop and reducing thermal throttling. You can see the larger cooling vents on the rear of the laptop as shown in the image below.

We got a look at the internals of the MSI Titan GT77 in a demo from Intel to show off their new HX series 12th gen CPUs (see below).

MSI Titan GT77 specs: what we know

From all the assorted leaks and videos we either know or can assume the following bits of information. We can assume the MSI Titan GT77 will be Intel and Nvidia only, with no AMD components. We don’t know if the Intel Core i9-12950HX will be available as an option for the CPU, but we do know that it will definitely have at least the Intel Core i9-12900HX as an available option. The maximum specced option will comes with an RTX 3080 Ti laptop version, with the highest TGP we’ve seen of 175W (matching that of the XMG Neo 15 E22).

  • CPU: Up to at least Intel Core i9-12900HX (75W)
  • GPU: Up to RTX 3080 Ti (175W)
  • Display: 1080p 360Hz / 1440p / 4K
  • RAM: 4x slots of DDR5 RAM (up to 128GB of at least 4800MHz RAM)
  • Storage: 1x M.2 PCIe Gen 5 SSD slot, 3x M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD slots
  • Keyboard: SteelSeries Mechanical KB Switches by Cherry MX (1.8mm travel, 1mm operate point actuation)
  • Dimensions: 23mm thick
