Shadow Tactics: the hit tactical game featuring Shogunates from the Edo Japanese period has got official its first-ever content expansion, Aiko’s choice. Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun Aiko’s choice is the first-ever expansion for the hit strategy game, and it is out now for all those who want to jump back into the game.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s choice is a new expansion that features one of the main characters, Aiko. The game diverts away from the original story, expanding on this character in greater detail. It also comes with plenty of new stealth tactic missions to delve into while telling a whole new narrative.
The focus of the narrative centres around the trials and tribulations of the character, Aiko, who is an adept in the art of stealth. She and her trainees are all on a quest to advance their skills, only to stumble on Aiko’s past. Now they must deal with it once and for all.
The new expansion follows the game’s successful formulae, incorporating a mixture of interlude missions while focusing on several big missions. In the new expansion, you can expect to complete three major missions. All of these missions come with new maps and environments, allowing players to take on their stealth and deadly antics against any adversary they come across from Aiko’s past.
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun – Aiko’s choice release date
If you’re a fan of the Shadow Tactics stealth tactics gameplay, then you’ll be pleased to know this comes out today. The expansion launches at 7 PM CET, 6 PM GMT, 1 PM ET, 10 AM PT.
The announcement of the game’s release date also came with a gameplay trailer featuring some of the new maps, story and characters featured in the new Shadow Tactics expansion. If you’re interested, you can find out more about the game via the trailer, embedded and linked to YouTube.
The only downside is that we still don’t know how much the game will cost. The Steam, GoG and Epic Games Store all do not yet list the price for the expansion. The press release we received also has no mention of the product’s price either. Sadly, you’ll have to wait until the expansion actually launches if you’re keen on giving the game a go, celebrating the fifth anniversary of Shadow Tactics.
