Skyrim’s 10th Anniversary edition is not on Game Pass, but there’s a large discount

Skyrim’s 10th anniversary is almost here, with the new Skyrim edition arriving on November 11. Like all new releases, many gamers are wondering what platforms you can get the game on, including whether on not Skyrim 10th Anniversary is on game pass.

Since Microsoft announced the acquisition of Bethesda and its development and publishing studios, Microsoft has been building goodwill with its fans. Microsoft announced all games are day 1 Game Pass, along with building the hype for other content. However, there is a bit of a catch with the Skyrim 10th anniversary edition, as it is not a day one title, but there’s a massive discount. 

When is Skyrim: Anniversary Edition coming to Game Pass?

Back in August, during the Microsoft x Bethesda conference at Gamescom, they revealed information on the Skyrim 10th anniversary edition. Not much seems to have changed since then, Back then, they mentioned that the game is not coming to Game Pass, so the message has been somewhat clear from the get-go. However, the good news is that the usual discount is applied to the anniversary edition. We got confirmation on this from the official Spanish speaking Bethesda customer service channels.

If you already own Skyrim on your Xbox account, then you can expect to get the upgrade discounted. The upgrade to the Skyrim 10th anniversary edition cost $19,99, but, if you’re subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass, you can get at least 20% off, as is typical with the pass’s discount perk. However, there seems to be a big surprise, so it might even be a greater discount. Microsoft is certainly keeping the store page a surprise, considering you can’t find the 10th-anniversary edition in the Microsoft Store at the minute.

Moreso, it feels like Microsoft is up to something, as evident through the recent Game Pass UK Twitter account. They posted a teaser of the Dark Brotherhood, knowing something we don’t ahead of the launch on November 11. if that isn’t ominous, I don’t know what is. Plus, this sort of teaser indicates some big news. Considering we already know what’s popping on the 11th in terms of the 10th anniversary details, it could hint towards something clandestine, just like the Dark Brotherhood. If this was on any other Bethesda or Microsoft Twitter account, it probably wouldn’t mean much. But, because it is on the Game Pass account, it;’s definitely peculiar. Maybe we are reading too much into it?

Skyrim anniversary edition differences

For those who are not already aware of what is in the Skyrim 10 anniversary edition, the game features the following:

• 74 creations, containing the 48 currently released along with 26 new creations.
• Fishing.
• Survival Mode.
