Just as the Steam servers were starting to recover from the surge of people attempting to hop into the Sons of the Forest, we were bombarded by purchasing issues across the board. Here are some of the Sons of the Forest payment and purchasing issues.

No, you’re not alone, many of us have been trying to access the Sons of the Forest for over an hour and a half at this point. Just as it seems we were done with the errors, none of us can buy the game.
Sons of the forest purchasing issues
We have been trying to hop on The Sons of the Forest for a while now, and every time we attempt to purchase it, we get hit with one of three errors.
Sometimes we get stuck with the game in our basket. It appears as though the payment portal Steam has been using has become overloaded, as the additional window did not prompt when validating our card information.
This is an issue as obviously if Steam cannot collect a payment, then Steam will not release the game to your library.
And of course, if you try to purchase something unsuccessfully too many times then Steam takes note of this. It was a hassle just getting The Sons of the Forest in our Steam basket. A little side not to, it takes way longer than a minute to re-attempt purchasing.
The third and final error is when The Sons of the Forest purchase get’s stuck in pending. This means that, much like the first one, Steam knows that you’re trying to purchase The Sons of the Forest, and it’s trying to facilitate it.
You can leave the purchase pending, Steam will collect the money when it can, and will deposit The Sons of the Forest into your account.
How to fix the Sons of the forest Purchasing issues
There’s not really much you can do, unfortunately, According to SteamDB, over 100,000 people have managed to purchase The Sons of the Forest and hop on the game. So there’s nothing you can do other than wait.
You could try opening a support ticket with Steam, but that system is probably overloaded too with the other people who can’t buy The Sons of the Forest opening tickets with steam support.
Our suggestion is just to wait it out, there’s nothing really more you can do.
