Sick of asking the question ‘What is the best gaming laptop for Starfield?‘ and hearing ‘a desktop’? Want to know if Starfield laptop gaming is possible on your current machine? Then read on for more information.

The Starfield release date has now been and gone and we have a good idea how the game runs thanks to everyone now having had a chance to playtest it. Have a read below for the latest info on the Starfield system requirements, and some suggestions on the best gaming laptops to run the game on.

Can my laptop play Starfield?

The official Starfield system requirements should be your first port of call if you want to know if your laptop will run Starfield, though there are some things you should note. Firstly the minimum system requirements are the bare minimum needed to run the game, and it usually won’t be an enjoyable experience playing on this level of hardware – we’d advise aiming for as close to the recommended system specs as possible within your budget as listed below. These cover what you need to play the game at 1080p resolution on a desktop PC.

Important to note though: gaming laptop graphics cards are underpowered compared to their desktop components, so if you’re looking to play the game on a laptop you’ll need to add a bit more on top. Higher resolutions will require more powerful components. See below for some of our suggestions, we’ve also linked an benchmarking video below from yer boy Finn Benchmarks playing the game on an RTX 3070 laptop.
