The DualSense Edge Controller was released in January 2023, and it had gamers around the world on the edge of their seats with exciting new features and specs. This controller has brand-new buttons, three sets of thumbstick toppers, a braided USB-C cable that can lock into the controller, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback.

DualSense Edge Controller Compatibility with PSVR 2
We already know that the PS5 DualSense Controller does not work with the vast majority of PSVR games, which require the standard PS4-era DualShock 4 controllers. Your PS5 DualSense controller will, however, work with a few PSVR games, such as Star Wars Squadrons.
According to the official PlayStation website, your new DualSense Edge Controller will be compatible with the upcoming PSVR 2. However, like the previous compatibility between the PS5 DualSense Controller and PSVR, you’ll have to wait for a compatibility notice for each game.

With each title, you’ll have to check whether the new DualSense Edge Controller is compatible with the PSVR 2. With the DualSense Edge Controller borrowing several features from its predecessor, the PS5 DualSense controller, we expect to see similar compatibilities.
Which PSVR 2 Games Can I Play with the DualSense Edge Controller?
Some of the PSVR games that are compatible with the PS5 DualSense Controller and are expected to be compatible with the latest DualSense Edge Controller on the PSVR 2 include Star Wars Squadrons, Dreams, Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, Paper Beast, No Man’s Sky, WipEout Omega Collection, and Resident Evil 7.
Is the DualSense Edge compatible with the PSVR 2?
Yes. However, it can’t replace the PSVR 2 controllers per se. instead, you can use it as you normally would for normal PS4/PS5 games in cinematic mode.
What is the DualSense Edge battery life?
Sony has had to reduce the size of the battery in the DualSense Edge, so it only lasts for around 6 hours of gameplay.
