How to connect AirPods to Nintendo Switch to enjoy in-game music and chat? Nintendo Switch has been one of the most popular portable consoles for a while now. However, it comes with its own limitations.
For instance, up until 2021, it wasn’t even possible to connect Bluetooth devices to Nintendo Switch for audio output. But in September 2021, Nintendo rolled out an update that allowed users to connect their Bluetooth audio devices to Nintendo Switch.

How to Connect AirPods to Nintendo Switch?
Before you connect your AirPods to Nintendo Switch, make sure your console is up-to-date. To do so, go to System Settings > System > System Update. If the console is outdated, connect it to the internet and select System Update to update it.
Once done, restart the console and then follow these steps:

Go to System Settings on your Nintendo Switch by selecting the gear icon at the bottom right.

Select Bluetooth Audio
Scroll down the settings menu until you see Bluetooth Audio. Click on this option,

Pair the Device
Click on Pair Device. A message pop-up will appear to inform you about your console’s limitations and capabilities for its Bluetooth feature.

Hold Down the AirPods Button
Now hold down the button on the back of your AirPods case until you see a white status light. That’s when your AirPods will be discoverable.

Pair Your AirPods
Finally, open your AirPods case and wait until they appear on the list of Bluetooth audio devices. Once they do, click on your AirPods’ name.
Your AirPods will now be connected to your Nintendo Switch. Enjoy in-game chat and music on your AirPods!
