Apex Legends Season 13 is underway and players are still learning to navigate the reworked ranked mode. The launch of the season has been a success with the game breaking its peak concurrent player count but the Season 13 update did have some bugs that needed to be addressed. The new 1.96 patch fixes some of the biggest issues of Season 13 Saviors.

Audio Issues Finally Being Addressed

While Apex Legends’ gameplay leaves little room to have complaints about, the sound department has always been a little lacking. Many within the Apex community attribute Apex’s audio issues to the Source Engine but Respawn may have finally come up with a few tweaks to address some of the audio issues. The new update fixes the echoing effect that some players face unless they change their audio setting to “stereo uncompressed.”

Loba’s Bracelet Has Been Fixed

A number of players have stopped playing Loba because of a bug with her bracelet. Loba can toss her bracelet and she gets teleported to wherever the bracelet lands. The issue with it is that in Storm Point, the bracelet can go out of bounds and in unintended locations which can prove to be very frustrating. With Storm Point being this season’s ranked mode, Loba players were frustrated with the bug. Respawn has identified the problem and has fixed it in the new update.

Newcastle Receives Fixes For His Ultimate

Newcastle is Apex Legends’ newest legend on PC and console. At launch, he was being hailed as a competitor to Gibraltar as a defensive shielding character. While a lot of players enjoy the character, we cannot overlook the fact that some parts of his kit were completely broken and did not function properly. The legend would sometimes get stuck in all kinds of terrain and would become a sitting duck. This was a serious problem as the ultimate ability failing meant that you would be hanging midair as a Newcastle player, making yourself an easy target. The new update has addressed the issue and you should now be able to enjoy the legend without any problems.

There are some other fixes in the new update as well and the patch does not add any new content. Events are expected to start dropping in the coming weeks along with an heirloom collection event.
