Apex Legends Season 13 just dropped and it is arguably one of the most important updates ever. The ranked mode received a complete overhaul with the devs trying to reward team play instead of individual performances. Season 13 also adds a new season, a new legend, a new battle pass, events, and more. Here is everything you need to know about the Apex Legends Season 13 update.

Newcastle Joins as the Newest Legend

Newcastle defended the small town of Harris Valley, making it a safe haven for all who lived there. Now to fulfill that mission and continue defending his home, he has to join the Apex Games and fight it out. He can leverage his Knockdown Shield to protect his teammates while his abilities offer defensive capabilities.

Ranked Mode Gets an Overhaul

Apex Legends: Saviors’ upgraded Ranked system adds tier demotions, entry cost adjustments, and a rework of Ranked Points to promote teamplay. The current ranked mode in Season 13 tries to reward team play instead of individual performances. Respawn Entertainment is making a large number of changes that focus on these two core pillars, with the outcome that players will focus on playing as a team and playing for the win, and RP will be a more accurate representation of player skill.

More PVE Content Added to Storm Point

Respawn added a brand-new area to the map which houses a washed-up sea creature known as the Downed Beast. Respawn also added a brand new PvE feature, IMC Armories, at four strategic locations around the map which can offer loadout upgrades for you.

The map rotation for the season for Saviors will be Storm Point, Olympus, and World’s Edge. Respawn is removing the longer 2-hour rotation block which many players did not enjoy. Season 13 brings some major changes to Apex Legends and fans will be excited to try out all of the new content. There are also some limited-time events that are coming to the game in the coming weeks and we couldn’t be more excited to check out what they have to offer.

The new season also introduced a number of balance changes for legends like Caustic and Gibraltar with their Fortified passive being nerfed.
