With the next window to play Diablo 4 early nearly here, some players will be looking to the very minute they are able to initiate their Diablo 4 Server Slam beta preloads. This is the moment when it really feels like it’s in touching distance.
A game a lot of us have waited an age for is finally, almost, here. Engaging with the Server Slam beta means that we can have a say in the game going forward and potentially offer some feedback to Blizzard while we all stare at a Diablo 4 release countdown clock or similar.

Diablo IV Server Slam beta PC preload size
We know it’s a heft amount from the two previous betas. On PC, if you turn everything up to 4K, you’re looking at a sizeable 85GB Diablo 4 open beta download size. However, you can change this a little by engaging with the ‘Modify Install’ option in the beta installation screen.
Diablo IV Server Slam beta PlayStation preload size
On PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, we’re looking at two very distinctly different beta file sizes.
- PS5 Beta preload size – 82.56GB
- PS4 Beta preload size – 37.75GB
This is a huge disparity but one that can probably be explained by the above PC information too. The PS5 will be capable of some form of 4K output and textures etc, while the PS4 will not. Pretty simple.
The only potential curveball is what the file size might be for those on PS4 Pro, but this is only the beta after all so some optimizations that are specific to the PS4 Pro console and its capabilities down the line.

For Xbox consoles, the difference is the same.
- Xbox Series X|S Beta preload size – 82.56GB
- Xbox One Beta preload size – 37.75GB
It may change slightly, but this is around what you’re we expect.
