UPDATE: March 21, 2022 – Epic Games have tweeted that, in just one day of Fortnite in-game purchases, they have already raised 36 million USD toward aid in Ukraine.

Epic Games have announced that all proceeds made from Fortnite in-game sales between March 20 and April 3, 2022, will be donated towards the relief effort in Ukraine.

According to a news post on the official Fortnite website, the money will be split across a selection of organizations all working towards humanitarian relief in Ukraine and supporting Ukrainian people. These organizations carry out a variety of aid between them, including the supply of food and clean water, other essential supplies, legal aid and shelter.

Xbox have also committed to helping as well, donating their net proceeds from Fortnite to the same cause. This effort is also relating to purchases made during the same dates as Epic Games’ original pledge, March 20 to April 3, 2022, so purchases made in Fortnite on Xbox consoles will help provide even more aid to those affected by the crisis in Ukraine.

How do I help?

Buy something! Of course we’re only encouraging you to make a purchase if you can comfortably afford to do so and are responsible for the finances in your household. If not, then make sure you get their permission before buying anything.

What we are saying is, if you were considering a V-Bucks purchase, then don’t wait! Grab those V-Bucks and skin bundles before April 3rd. As any real-money purchase is included, Fortnite Crew memberships also count towards the donations. If you’ve not subscribed to the Fortnite Crew in March, you can still do so, and get April’s rewards as well!

What’s more, V-Bucks and Outfit bundles purchased at other retailers will go towards support in Ukraine if redeemed between March 20 and April 3.

Please note that this only covers real-money purchases in Fortnite. Purchasing a skin with V-Bucks not bought between March 20 and April 3, 2022, or earned from Battle Pass Levels, will not provide funds towards the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.
