What different size iPad Pros are there?
The new iPad Pro 2022 comes in two size variants (as did the iPad Pro 2021 before it): 12.9-inch and 11-inch. The 11-inch iPad Pro is just about right for most tablet users, but the existence of the 12.9-inch is a bit controversial. Some users think the size is too big for a tablet, but there’s also a group of iPad Pro fans, who claim the 12.9-inch is just about the right size.
The problem comes with usability. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is a niche product. It’s big and powerful, but only a small number of people need this humongous tablet.
Does this make the iPad Pro bad for content consumption? No way; watching Netflix on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro provides an immersive experience that is not easy to forget or overlook. Additionally, the iPad Pro is great for digital artists and illustrators. It provides an exceptional level of screen real estate and is accompanied by the Apple Pencil.
So is the iPad Pro 12.9 too big?
So, the 12.9-inch may seem like an unnecessary big tablet to some users. But if you look at the big picture, this is just a perfectly sized device for those after a bigger screen for artistic use with the Apple Pencil, or for watching media. If you’re after a more portable device, then the iPad Pro 2022 11-inch is the right pick for you.
