Whichever version of Minecraft you play on this holiday season, there are some great gifts to be had, from Skin packs to Character Creator items and even free maps to explore.
In a news piece released on the Minecraft website, Mojang have revealed plans to ring in the new year with four weeks of free rewards. This also perfectly coincides with the announcement that Minecraft content has hit one trillion views on Youtube, which is celebrated with the first Bedrock edition freebie.
All Minecraft Marketplace free gifts for Bedrock edition
Free Minecraft creators skin pack
The first gift Mojang have released for Bedrock edition players is a pack of 12 free skins based on some of the best Minecraft YouTubers out there, so you can turn your Bedrock avatar into the likes of LogDotZip or LDShadowLady. This comes as part of the celebration of Minecraft reaching an incredible one trillion views on YouTube.
To get your YouTube Creators Skin Pack, made by Spark Universe, the team behind the awesome YouTube milestone announcement video, simply head to the Minecraft Marketplace on your Windows PC or console. Locate the pack, either on your menu or by searching for it, and download! Simple as that. You’ll then be able to Equip your favorite skin from the description.
Daily Character Creator items
If these YouTuber skins don’t take your fancy, your favorite creator isn’t available, or you’d rather just have something more unique, then Mojang are also giving away a new Character Creator item every day between December 21st, 2021 and January 17th, 2022.
The Character Creator is available from your Bedrock edition launch page, and allows you to create your own, unique Minecraft skin from a collection of both free and paid-for customization items. During the Christmas event, you’ll be able to claim a free item every day, from festive hats and tops, to footwear and face items.
Weekly free Minecraft maps
On top of daily customization items, you can also claim a new free map once a week during the giveaway. A new free map will be launched on December 21st, December 28th, January 4th, and January 11th, so remember to check the Marketplace once a week to be able to claim every new map. While the maps remain a surprise, we do know that they are made by some of the best Marketplace creators, including Razzleberries and Shapescape.
Two-week seasonal sale
Finally for Minecraft Bedrock, there is a two-week sale taking place between December 21st, 2021 and January 4th, 2022. This sale will see the prices of some fantastic Marketplace content dropped by a third, and one new item each day will have a massive 75% off.
Free Minecraft map for Java edition players
While the majority of the holiday freebies are for Bedrock edition, there is a treat for Java players as well. Coming on December 21st, there will be a new seasonal map for you to download and explore. Be sure to check the Minecraft website for the download, and for information on how to load maps to Java edition.
