It’s every PC builder’s favorite time of year because this is when all the big tech companies release their highly-anticipated next-gen components. Intel’s 10th-gen CPUs are already on the market, along with Nvidia’s 30-series GPUs, and now it’s AMD’s turn as they gear up to launch both their 5000-series CPUs and 6000-series GPUs.

The new AMD 6000-series of GPUs are set to go head to head with the Nvidia 30-series that launched recently. We know they will be releasing several GPUs as part of this new lineup, and there are two cards in the 6800 series that we’re looking forward to – the RX 6800 and RX 6800XT.

All the big Canadian retailers are going to be stocking AMD’s Latest Radeon RX 6800 & 6800XT GPUs. We are still waiting on pricing and a few websites to begin listing but below we have included all links we can find for the RX 6800 and RX 6800XT.
There are two RDNA 2 based cards expected as part of the RX 6800 series – the 6800 and the 6800XT. The 6800XT will come with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit bus interface, a 512 GB/s total bandwidth, and clock speeds of 2015 MHz base and 2250 MHz boost. The 6800 however will come with the same VRAM config of 16 GB GDDR6 memory, a 256-bit bus interface but a slightly lower memory clock of 14 Gbps which will deliver a net bandwidth of 448 GB/s. The GPU is going to feature clock speeds of 1815 MHz game and 2105 MHz boost clocks.

While we don’t have an official release date for the new GPUs from AMD just yet, there will be a live announcement event on October 28th at 12 pm EDT (4 pm GMT, 9 am PST) where Dr. Lisa Su will be revealing not just the official release date, but also more information on specs and what kind of performance we can expect.
