We have chosen the Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB PC case as the best because it is still hands-down a fabulous bit of manufacturing. The 5000X looks amazing while bringing impressive features and performance to the table too.

Our next PC case pick is a little bit extravagant but we had to mention one of our favorite cases. The Hyte Y60, while drawing inspiration from the Lian Li O11 sets itself apart, with a unique look and high performance.
The full uninterrupted window to the Hyte Y60 is its main USP but rest assured it isn’t all looks, you can build some high-performance systems inside here, making it ideal for your new shiny RTX 4070.
We got hands-on with the case of our Hyte Y60 review to find out our full thoughts on it.
Phanteks Eclipse P400A
Phanteks Eclipse P400A RGB

Type
Mid-Tower
Motherboard Support
Mini-ITX, MicroATX, ATX, and EATX
Dimensions (HxWxD)
470 x 210 x 465 mm
Fan Support
6 x 120mm
- Excellent price to performance
- Great airflow
- 3 x pre-installed fans
We haven’t opted for the absolute cheapest PC case you can buy here as we still want a quality offering with decent features to support your RTX 4070 build. The Phanteks P400A RGB is stunning for the price and performs as well as the others in terms of temperature.
The build quality is always of the highest from Phanteks and we see it here, with an exceptional case design. The tempered glass windows are easily removed and the three pre-installed RGB fans will take care of all your airflow needs. We advise you to move one of the fans to the back for optimal airflow. That would interrupt how the front looks visually, so we also recommend you buy an additional 120mm fan for the back.
How big is the RTX 4070?
The first thing to note is that every PC case in this round-up will fit the RTX 4070 with ease. If you are planning to mount your GPU vertically then you may want to double-check side panel clearance for such installations. But by looking at the PC case’s GPU clearance you can ensure you won’t have any problems.
The RTX 4070 dimensions are as follows 244x112x40 mm for the Founder’s Edition model. However, there are plenty of other models you can opt for that will vary in length and thickness which might affect compatibility. Some of the options are as follows:
- ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4070 OC – 267.01 x 133.94 x 51.13 mm
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING OC 12G – 300 x 130 x 57.6 mm
- MSI GeForce RTX 4070 VENTUS 3X – 308 x 120 x 43 mm
- ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Trinity – 306.8mm x 119.4mm x 58.5 mm
- Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 4070 Neptune OC-V – card: 253.5 x 170.8 x 41.5mm, cooler:277 x 119.2 x 54.4 mm
- ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 – 338.9 x 149.4 x 62.4 mm
Will the RTX 4070 fit inside an SFF case?
True small form factor PC cases may pose a problem here but it can depend from model to model. If in doubt always check the dimensions against GPU clearance both of which are always advertised by manufacturers.
As graphics cards ramp up in terms of performance and power consumption, the heat starts to become more and more noticeable. We aren’t saying it isn’t a possibility, just something to be aware of. The last thing you want is to jam your card into a small enough case and have to wait even longer you build your PC.
