The XL model is on the large side but has plenty of room for your next PC build. For the price, this is unbeatable, with plenty of room for water cooling, space for EATX mobos, and four pre-installed 120 mm Aspect RGB fans included.

Fractal Design is a big name in the case world and this latest model is easily one of the sleekest-looking models the company has ever produced.

Do I need a bigger PC case for RTX 4080 Super?

The RTX 4080 Super is latest addition to the 4080 line-up, a refreshed model of the original which packs in some extra power. Despite changes to the specs such as more CUDA cores, faster clock speeds, and improved memory bandwidth, the actual dimensions of the GPU board remains the same. Again, custom models vary in size, but the Super variant of the RTX 4080 should fit in any case which also fits the RTX 4080.

You’ll be good to go in most ATX mid-tower cases, as well as larger E-ATX cases of course. Clearance issues may become a problem when trying to cater for a micro-ATX case, but this will depend on your particular card’s dimensions. Anyone with a mini-ITX case will likely have to upgrade though, as these small form factor builds are better suited for low profile GPUs. The best thing to do is to double check the amount of clearance space available in your case beforehand, especially if you’re upgrading from a smaller GPU.

Do you need additional PC case fans for the RTX 4080 family?

It depends. The PC case selections above all feature pre-installed case fans. We think as long as you have an intake and an outtake fan, along with decent airflow, you can’t go wrong.

If you have concerns, an additional fan is always welcome. Fans are relatively cheap, so it is always best to choose a case based on its airflow potential, rather than how many fans it comes with.

Will the RTX 4080 or 4080 Super affect case temps?

For the most part, yes. Both the RTX 4080 and 4080 Super will affect the internal temperature of your PC case. This is because the RTX 4080 family is in all likelihood more powerful than your last GPU, and will have a higher TDP. To compensate, you may wish to upgrade your PC case fans or add more to deal with the bump in temps.

Even a small increase in internal PC temperatures can cause large inefficiencies with other cooling components, such as air-cooling heat sinks, or radiators.
