Pros
  • Fantastic looking wrap-around glass exterior
  • Terrific cable management
  • Vertical GPU mount option
  • Large radiator support
Cons
  • There aren’t any cons!

The Lian Li O11 Vision is a fairly new case, being first unveiled at Computex 2023, and, to put it simply, it’s one of the best we’ve ever seen. Prior to this Lian Li had put out the 011 Dynamic/Evo line, which were quality cases, and this new model incorporates a lot of what made those great like: high quality materials and cable management, plus vertical graphics card mounting options, but aesthetically takes things to the next level.

The most unique aspect of this case is the most obvious: it has a wrap around panoramic glass covering three sides of it, including the top, allowing you an uninterrupted view of the internals. Providing you ensure the internals of your build look good, we think this is one of the nicest looking cases out there.

The max GPU clearance of 455mm should cover you for all RTX 4070 Ti AIBs, as well as the Founder’s Edition. Besides this it has large radiator support, to maximise cooling for your new GPU. It’s available in both black and white color options, and considering what you get for your money, we wouldn’t even say it’s that expensive.

Another great mid-tower option

Pros
  • Premium case with an affordable price tag
  • Stunning aesthetics
  • Great airflow
  • Modular
Cons
  • There aren’t any cons!

We’ve has the pleasure of conducting an in-depth review on the Corsair 5000D Airflow case alongside the similar iCue 5000X case, and we can say that both are very fine products indeed, although the former takes pole position in this instance due to its superior cooling. Previously we’d have considered this a more premium-leaning case, however recent price drops have made it much more affordable, so it’s a great time to snap one up.

Unsurprisingly the 5000D Airflow excels in the airflow it has throughout the case. The perforated front panel gives improved cooling, whether you use the the preinstalled fans or not. It has a tool-free modular design, allowing extensive customisation, and generally looks great. The max GPU length in this case is 420mm – smaller than our top pick’s clearance, but still should be good enough for many RTX 4070 Ti SUPER AIBs – make sure you double check though!

An affordable price but a premium case

Phanteks Eclipse P400A RGB

Phanteks P400A RGB

Type

Mid-Tower

Motherboard Support

Mini-ITX, MicroATX, ATX, and EATX

Dimensions (HxWxD)

470 x 210 x 465 mm

Fan Support

6 x 120mm

Pros
  • Excellent price to performance
  • Great airflow
  • 3 x pre-installed fans
Cons
  • Requires you to add an additional 120mm fan to the rear for good performance

The Phanteks P400A RGB, once priced as a premium case, has recently experienced reductions in its cost, placing it within the mid-range category. Despite this price adjustment, the case retains its outstanding features. In essence, it offers remarkable value, encompassing both aesthetics and performance.

The build quality and case design of the P400A is top-notch and it has great airflow temperature control. The easily removable tempered glass windows contribute to the overall allure, while the inclusion of three pre-installed RGB fans ensures efficient airflow. To optimize airflow, it is advisable to add an extra 120mm fan to the rear however, but this isn’t too big of an inconvenience, given their relative cheapness.

Will the RTX 4070 Ti Super fit in my case?

Different variants of the card will have different sizes, both in terms of their dimensions and the number of slots they will take up within your case. As a result you’ll defintely want to check to make sure the size of your particular AIB (or Founder’s Edition of the card) match up with your chosen case. Below we’ve listed the dimensions of the versions we currently have information on. Take a gander at our dedicated RTX 4070 Ti Super size & dimensions page for more detailed info.

  • RTX 4070 Ti Super Founder’s Edition, 310 x 140 x 61mm, 3 slot width
  • Gigabyte AERO OC Triple-fan, 300 x 130 x 57.6mm, 3 slot width
  • ZOTAC Trinity Black Edition Triple-fan, 306.8 x 119.4 x 58.5mm, 2.5 slot width
  • MSI GAMING X SLIM Triple-fan, 307 x 125 x 51mm
  • ASUS TUF Gaming WHITE OC Triple-fan, 305 x 138 x 65mm
  • Palit GAMING PRO Triple-fan, 328.9 x 132.9 x 63.4mm

Another point to note: If you’re considering mounting your GPU vertically, then do double-check that your case supports this, in particular the side panel & GPU clearance for such installations.

Best case for RTX 4070 Ti SUPER FAQs

Will the RTX 4070 Ti Super fit inside a Small Form Factor case?

Generally no – whilst we may see some small AIBs that might just about fit into a larger SFF case, this is a big card, so it’s generally best to assume that most, if not all, will not fit.

How should I choose the best PC case?

The first and foremost consideration when shopping for a case is: does it have space for all your components? The graphics card in particular is a hefty component so you need to make sure there is sufficient clearance.

Besides that, cooling is the next most important thing – making sure the airflow is up to scratch and that there is sufficient space for your fans and/or liquid cooling setup.

Looks are probably next most important (assuming this is something you case about), and finally cable management.
