Pros
  • Choice of three materials
  • Great if you like a firm chair
  • Well-constructed
Cons
  • May be too firm for some
  • Premium price

There is no doubt that in the main, noblechairs do not pump out offerings that are really “gamey”. Their chairs are designed to fit discreetly into most settings and have the look of the home office rather than the racing chairs with luminous flashes of color everywhere.

It is this level of styling that helps make them so popular. Their use of really high-density foam gives them a USP that will, unfortunately, take them away from some people. Some people prefer a firm mattress so head down that route. Others don’t, so if you don’t like quite a hard seat and the support that gives you,  we’d suggest trying to get your hands on the opportunity to test one out first. I massively prefer Secretlab’s level of firmness, but I’m not you.

The armrests on the Icon are 4D like the Secretlab and you can pretty much swivel and raise/lower it to a position that suits you.

It’s just a really good chair. It comes at a price but if you ever plump for a cheaper gaming chair you will quickly discover where the corners have been cut over something like this or the Secretlab. I’d recommend it without hesitation if it wasn’t quite so firm, but that is really down to personal preference.

Noblechairs Epic Gaming Chair

Noblechairs epic

Maximum Load

265 lbs

Dimensions

26.4 x 27.9 x 55.1 inches

Sitting Height

19″ to 23″

Pros
  • Premium design and materials
  • Great for tall people
  • Real leather
  • Plenty of color options to choose from
  • Four directional arm rests
Cons
  • On the expensive side when compared to the rest of the market
  • Could have better back support

As the Epic is primarily, a gaming chair, it would only be natural to compare it with other gaming chairs first and foremost. So, how does it stand up against the top gaming chairs in today’s market?

The first thing that is worth mentioning is the build quality and materials used for this chair. They are clearly high quality and built to last which you don’t always get in the gaming chair market. Especially with all the lower budget brands floating around at the moment.

The style is certainly in tune with the rest of the gaming chair industry thanks to the bucket racer becoming the go-to design. It does have 4D armrests which add an extra level of adjustability which again, isn’t standard on all chairs.

However, when comparing it to the likes of Secretlab’s Omega, I feel the chair falls a little bit short. No disrespect to the Epic, it’s a great chair, this being said though, the Omega is an amazing chair.

Overall, I’d say it was well up there as far as gaming chairs go. Certainly, one to consider if you’re looking for top quality.

Another Great Noblechairs Gaming Chair

Noblechairs Hero Gaming Chair

Noblechairs Hero Gaming

Chair Type

Racer

Maximum Load

150kg

Gross Weight

30Kg

Sitting Height

19” – 22”

Pros
  • Fantastic lumbar and back support
  • Ergonomic design which looks hugely impressive
  • Excellent build quality
  • Premium materials used throughout the chair
  • 4 directional armrests
Cons
  • Lumbar support pillow isn’t fixed and quite un-supportive
  • Arms feel quite flimsy
  • Quite firm sitting experience

The PU leather feels quality and made to last, however, the chair does have the option of a real leather finish if that is more to your taste. Be aware though, that will add a whopping $200+ to your final bill. Leather aside, the stitching is again finishing with the highest quality and looks pristine. You have the choice of 5 different colored stitching designs which range from your standard black and blue to your luxury looking gold. The chair has a diamond pattern stitch across both the backrest and seat only enhancing the aesthetics further. The signature Noblechairs crown has been debossed onto the headrest and a polished aluminum logo sits below it adding a touch of class.

The racer-style bucket seat is taller than some of its stablemates and lends itself to both short and tall people. The gentle curves of the seat give off a mature style, saying this, the design still has enough edge promoting a cool look as well. The arms and seat of the Hero are slightly wider than other chairs in the market meaning it caters to bigger gamers respectively.

The arms, like most gaming chairs, feel built to last but are on the rickety side. They’re made up of quality materials such as padded PU leather which has been finished with a textured skin for added grip. The armrest has 4D functionality, up, down, left, right, side to side, and swivel feature which is fairly standard with modern gaming chairs.

The base is comprised of 5-star certified aluminum which is solid but not too heavy. The hydraulic class 4 gas lift gives a really smooth transition when altering the height. Similarly, the tilt mechanism is superb and hugely smooth when in use.

Ultimately, the design is aesthetically very well done and the quality of the materials should never be in question. Overall an area that gets a big thumbs up from our team.

Noblechairs Hero Doom Edition Gaming Chair

doom

Chair Type

Maximum Load

150kg

Gross Weight

30Kg

Sitting Height

19” – 22”

Pros
  • Great game styling for Doom fans
  • Fantastic lumbar and back support
  • Ergonomic design which looks hugely impressive
  • Excellent build quality
  • Premium materials used throughout the chair
  • 4 directional armrests
Cons
  • Lumbar support pillow isn’t fixed and quite un-supportive
  • Arms feel quite flimsy
  • Quite firm sitting experience
  • Not great if you don’t love Doom!

One of the most iconic game franchises in history gets immortalized in chair form and it looks pretty good to us. featuring a large Doom logo on the back of the seat and styling on the chair this is an in-your-face homage to one of the greatest FPS shooters of our time.

It’s a little bit on the Satanic side which certainly is not going to be for everybody but if you really want a Hero chair celebrating a game, it also comes in a blue leather version too with Vault Boy from Fallout 4.

These special edition chairs are standout pieces of furniture that are sure to be a conversation starter. You just really have to like the game to be into the idea I feel.

Things to consider

It’s important to realize here that you are going to be buying a piece of furniture that will hopefully last you many years, and, more importantly, provide you with a level of comfort while you are sat at your PC, that you might not have previously had. Therefore, before you click Buy, spare a thought for the following.

Price

The cost of gaming chairs can vary quite dramatically. the big-name companies are all going to be charging considerably more for their wares but there is a reason for that. generally, the materials used are of much higher quality, this is how the cheaper manufacturers can trim down their price so much. With this trimming down also comes a reduction in comfort. Extra support cushions aren’t included, the foam used in the seat and back sections won’t be as high quality and may lose its shape quicker than you would like. The seat itself might not recline or even feel as sturdy.

What we are saying, and we certainly don’t always suggest you go for the higher ticket items, but when it comes to gaming chairs you generally get what you pay for. It all depends on how happy you are to compromise.

Style

The last couple of years have definitely seen a move away from the huge gamification of gaming chairs. No longer are we only different bright green chairs with orange lightning bolts emblazoned across them but you can now get high-quality gaming chairs that do not look out of place in any corner of your home. You need to decide whether you want one that’s more akin to a big padded ‘bosses’ office chair or stick with the racing-style so popular in years gone by. It’s also worth considering you may redecorate before your chair reaches the end of its life so that bright yellow racing chair may not fit in so well in the future.

Final Word

As mentioned earlier, we have noblechairs as well as Secretlab chairs over in WePC Towers. The majority of people (myself included) would always plump down on a Secretlab for comfort but there are definitely those among us that prefer a firmer seat and they gravitate to the noblechairs. Premium gaming chairs are getting better and better all the time and customers are spoilt for choice really. The only issue for many is deciding which one to put their money down on.

The chairs here are great chairs. The only reason I would go elsewhere is a personal choice, but equally, I also really like the design of the special Doom and Fallout 4 editions. Good job there. Kudos all around.

If you are here because you want a noblechair then hopefully you will now have a better idea of the differences between the models. Let us know in the comments below how you get on with your purchase.
