NVENC, Nvidia’s hardware video encoder, is integrated into Nvidia’s dedicated GPUs. This encoder will encode the video stream from the CPU and use your dedicated Nvidia graphics card instead. NVENC is NVIDIA’s encoder. This is a section of GPUs dedicated only to encoding.
Your GPU will continue to function normally, regardless of whether this area is used to stream or record. Other encoders, such as x264, use your CPU to encode. This can cause programs, such as CPU-intensive games to run out of resources. NVENC allows you to play games at a higher frame rate and avoids stuttering. This gives you a better gaming experience.

NVENC is available on all GeForce GTX 1650 Super and higher GPUs, including the GeForce RTX 20 and 30-series. All GPUs use the same NVENC and have the same quality and performance.

NVENC-supported GPUs
