After its newest generation was released it has been quiet on the new product front for the AMD Radeon cards. It has been a popular option, with the RX 7900 XTX a great choice of graphics card. But as the RX 7600 might not quite scratch the right itch for performance, the RX 7600 XT release date is on the way.
So far, what might be a surprise (or not at all) is how little has been known of the upcoming cards. The RDNA 3 generation launched in December 2023 with the RX 7900 cards. After which the RX 7600 came and went but now its the time for the slight improvement that the XT suffix has to offer up. Announced at the CES 2024 event, we now have the date of when you can buy the card.
RX 7600 XT release date
Even though it was leaked and rumored for quite a while, it took some time for it to finally be announced and officiated. But now we know the RX 7600 XT is coming on the 24th of January. It comes in between a whole range of Nvidia GPUs as well, setting itself in between the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super releases. Although it’s not expected to sit at the same power level of course, more akin to the RTX 4060 and Ti level of 1080p/1440p is a more likely level.
It also comes a week ahead of the Ryzen 8000G and Ryzen 5700X3D releases. All of which provides a more solid range of options for people with a wide range of budgets and needs. The RX 7600 XT is also likely to be a good value for those after an entry-level machine. Or it is also a great upgrade that starts off the year with a bang and a lot of fun to look forward to what else might be on the way.
