Given the popularity and craze that the beta periods have provided fans, a lot of folks are now asking: is the Diablo 4 open beta extended?
Or, will it be that after today’s Diablo 4 open beta end time kicks in, no one can play anymore until the game’s full release date? We can all probably guess the outcome here, but, equally, the game was incredibly popular, and at times seemed to have as many folks waiting to play as it did actively playing – so has this changed Blizzard’s mind?

Has the Diablo 4 open beta been extended?
In short, no. There has been no official word from Blizzard confirming that the open beta will be extended. Given it’s late in the open beta now, our best guess right this very moment is that there will not be an extension. While such an extension could give more players more time in the game, and also provide Blizzard with more feedback, often having a pre-determined hard deadline for something is in devs’ interests. After all, one could keep gathering information forever, you have to end that stage at some point.
Otherwise, we’d end up getting folks asking whether the extension to the Diablo 4 open beta is going to be extended… And that way madness lies.
Is the Diablo 4 open beta over?
Well, it depends on when you’re reading this, but as of right now – about 1.30pm BST – the Diablo 4 beta is not over. This means you can still jump in and play to your heart’s content. Or, more realistically, until the open beta closes properly at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 8pm BST.
