The Diablo 4 beta launches today, March 17 at 4 pm GMT, and lasts until March 19th. Many users are being greeted with a concerning error code, the code 315306 is accompanied by the following message “Unable to find valid license”.

This all seems very scary, especially after dropping $70 or more on a game so you can access the Beta. but fear not, we have a way to circumvent the error so you can get straight to playing. But firstly, we need to understand what’s going on.

What is Diablo 4 Error code 315306?

The Diablo 4 unable to find a valid license error arises when the game servers are unsuccessful in verifying your license or ownership of the game.

It is customary for the game servers to authenticate your game ownership during the open beta early access period. This is to ensure that the game is only accessible to players who have lawfully obtained the game or have been granted access to the beta.

The reason you are encountering the Diablo 4 unable to find a valid license error is that you are attempting to access the game before the official commencement of the open beta early access period.

Since the validation process for the game may not be operational until the official start of the open beta early access, this may result in the error message you are currently seeing.

How to fix the Diablo 4 Error code 315306?

As we suggested above, the validation servers are most likely only active from the start of the open beta, till the end. This means that there’s no response from the validation server resulting in the error you are seeing.

To fix this, please ensure you are trying to access the open beta during the times allotted by the developers.

Why do I keep getting unable to find valid license error in Diablo IV?

This normally happened early in the original betas for the game. While it does allude to a license error, many assume it has a lot to do with servers being overloaded, so the game is unable to confirm that you purchased the game since there are so many users on at once.

We know you’re all excited, but you’re just going to have to wait for a bit while everything settles down. We understand this is frustrating, but we have a plethora of articles to read in the meantime if you want something to do!
