if you’re wondering how to get an XDefiant beta code, then we’re here to help. The process is deceptively simple and even though it’s a closed beta, your chances aren’t bad at all for getting into Ubisoft’s upcoming free-to-play first-person arena shooter.

For a bit of context, the closed beta is open now until April 23rd, 11pm PT / 8pm ET / 3pm BST – so there’s plenty of reason to jump in now ahead of the weekend to give it a go – as well as look to give it a thorough test over the next nine days or so. And if you want to read up some more on the game then check out our recent XDefiant hands-on preview in full. But for now, here’s how to get an XDefiant beta code.

How to get an XDefiant close beta code

Putting it incredibly simple, and cutting to the chase, your best bet for getting an XDefiant beta code is going to the Ubisoft website and checking your status for requesting a code! Yup, it really is that simple – by going straight to the source you could get a code directly from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.

If you get lucky (though Ubisoft has been quite generous thus far) you’ll get specific instructions on how to redeem your code on the platform you wish to play on – remember, XDefiant is going to be playable on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, so we are well covered.

XDefiant Beta Twitch drops

If you’re looking to Twitch to get a code then you may have a chance to do so there too, as XDefiant Beta code Twitch drops will apparently be available – if you meet/achieve/carry out certain tasks or criteria. The main one is to find a Ubisoft-partnered Twitch stream and spend a minimum of 30 minutes there to be in with a chance of receiving a code.

Specifically to get that chance of a code, find one that has ‘drops enabled’ listed in their stream title or details. Then if you get lucky and a code drops into your Twitch inventory, you can submit it to Ubisoft and get full access to the closed beta. Not an exact – or guaranteed science – but one that could work.

How long does the XDefiant beta last?

While Ubisoft has been, and is being, pretty generous with codes to get into the XDefiant closed beta, we do know its start and end times as this has been a planned event. However, at time of writing, you haven’t got much longer left to get involved – the beta ends on Sunday April 23rd at 11pm PT / 8pm ET / 3pm BST.
