HyperX has officially launched its first-ever gaming monitor lineup – billed as the ‘Armada’ range and set to target the competitive gaming marketplace.

Currently, the brand will be launching two initial models, a 25″ FHD 240Hz display and a more premium 27″ QHD 165Hz option.

Both panels will support NVIDIA G-Sync systems, high refresh rates, and low response times. Additionally, HDR 400 can be expected from both panels, alongside a new-look stand approach that sees monitor arms and desk mounts used over more generic monitor stands.

The two look set to launch in September, with pricing starting from $449.99.

Tiffany Rodriguez, PC Displays Senior Manager at HyperX, had this to say:

“This is an exciting time for HyperX as we enter the gaming monitor market with the new HyperX Armada gaming monitor line,”

“Offering high refresh rates and low response times for enhanced gaming experiences along with an ergonomic arm and desk mount for long hours of comfort, the Armada gaming monitor family provides convenience and functional design in all-in-one packages.”

HyperX Armada gaming monitor release date

HyperX hasn’t given us an exact date for when the Armada range will launch – however, in an official press release, the brand says it will launch in September 2022.

With most of the monitors launching at that time being high-end offerings (Samsung Odyssey Ark, ASUS PG42UQ) it seems well timed in today’s market.

HyperX Armada gaming monitor pricing

As far as pricing goes, the Armada gaming monitor range does seem a little pricey pre-launch.

Below is the current pricing for the HyperX gaming monitors and their respective monitor arms:

  • HyperX Armada 25 FHD gaming monitor: $449.99
  • HyperX Armada 27 QHD gaming monitor: $499.99
  • HyperX Armada single gaming mount: $109.99
  • HyperX Armada Addon gaming mount: $79.99

At $449.99 for the 25″ 240Hz model, you’d have to say it sits at the higher end of the market.

There are several well-established monitor brands in today’s market that offer 1080p 240Hz panels for considerably cheaper.

That said, the new-look design that HyperX is offering does offer something a little different.

Will the HyperX Armada gaming monitor come with a stand?

The HyperX Armada gaming monitor will come with a stand – however, it will not be a conventional stand as we know it.

Instead, the HyperX Armada gaming monitor will come with a single monitor gaming mount and desk mount – providing full customization over its position.

The mount will be compatible with most standard VESA compatible monitors that utilize the 75mm or 100mm size.

The monitor arms are said to be made from durable metal – meaning they should stand the test of time.

The monitor desk mount will attach to your desk via a C-clamp or grommet – depending on your preference – and will support monitors up to 32 inches and 20 pounds in weight.
