Nvidia GeForce 512.1 game ready drivers released with support for Ghostwire: Tokyo

Nvidia has released a brand-new Game Ready Driver with support and optimizations for new titles such as Ghostwire Tokyo, and many more features such as adding DLAA to three new games, in addition to expanding their lineup of G-Sync displays. The optimizations for Ghostwire: Tokyo include ray-traced reflections, in addition to supporting DLSS to get the most amount of performance out of your system while still ensuring that the game looks fantastic, to boot.
Ghostwire Tokyo releases on March 25, so these drivers will already be prepared for when the game finally launches, meaning that you’re going to get the best possible experience with all of the beautiful bells and whistles. The streets of Tokyo aren’t going to look as good without those beautiful ray-traced reflections, and an up to 2x performance uplift when using DLSS to ensure that the game looks fantastic even when running at high-resolutions. Veritable boomer shooter Shadow Warrior 3 also gets game-ready enhancements, meaning that you’ll be able to play the game perfectly, too. But, that’s not all for this driver update, which also includes a number of fixes and enhancements across the board for Nvidia.
Fixes and tweaks in Geforce Game Ready Driver 512.15
As ever, Nvidia also includes several tweaks and application or hardware-based fixes into these driver updates, so you can expect to find a handful of these fairly niche issues fixed in the latest driver, or highlighting some issues when running certain titles. Sonic & All-Stars Racing has popped up in most of these issues in the previous driver update posts that we’ve uploaded, so it’s interesting to see how they’ve not really managed to fix it yet. Regardless, it is heartening to see that if you’re looking for support for the latest games, that Nvidia ensures that everything gets up and running ahead of time, especially now that GPU stock is becoming easier to find.
Fixes
- Advanced Optimus: Brightness levels do not change properly when display set to NVIDIA GPU only mode with HDR set to off.
- Increased registry reads by DWM.exe when GPU is connected to G-SYNC/G-SYNC Compatible display.
- NVIDIA Advanced Optimus /Ampere: Putting notebook to sleep by closing the lid and then waking up the notebook may cause Windows to reboot when in dGPU mode.
- The native resolution for a DVI or HDMI display may not be available from the display settings if the display contains an invalid EDID.
- Adobe Substance Sampler/Stager: Fixed Optimus profile to run on dGPU by default.
- Enscape: Shadow rendering is incorrect.
- Solidworks Visualize Boost: When the application process is running in the background, the GPU memory clock may operate at lower clock speeds.
- Adobe Premiere Pro: Adobe Media Encoder could crash due to out of memory error when encoding multiple R3D 8k files.
- Foundry Nuke: CUDA and OpenCL kernel return incorrect result.
Windows 10 & 11 issues
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed may crash on courses where players drive through water.
- NVIDIA Ampere GPU: With the GPU connected to an HDMI 2.1 audio/video receiver, audio may drop out when playing back Dolby Atmos.
- Club 3D CAC-1085 dongle limited to maximum resolution of 4K at 60 Hz.
