Razer has announced RazerCon 2021, which will take place on October 21. This digital event will be live-streamed across a whole host of social media channels including TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Justin TV. Curiously, the event will also be produced by Microsoft, Seagate, and Square-Enix. It’s likely that we’re going to see new Razer products, in addition to some devices such as the Razer Blade 14 shipping out of the factory installed with Windows 11, considering that Microsoft’s new OS will have already shipped by then.

The company also boasts that RazerCon 2021 will be the first carbon-neutral gaming live stream. In addition to this, we’re expecting to see new hardware from Razer, some new, unannounced goodies as well as a tease from Razer themselves who have said that we can expect to see ‘An introduction of groundbreaking new categories from the growing Razer ecosystem.’ – Which is to say that Razer is probably going to enter a new product category that we’ve not seen before, or are about to eat another brand’s lunch, as seen with their line of streaming products such as the Razer Kiyo, it’s probably a pretty sure bet that there will be some new announcements in the highly-competitive home streaming category.

However, it won’t all be about Razer during RazerCon 2021. They’ll also be showing off previews and gaming showcases from companies such as Larian Studios, Paradox Interactive, Capcom, and more. Given equal treatment are the thrilling announcements from Norton Gaming, which we’re sure will have millions of gamers on the edge of their seats during the show.

CEO Mi Liang Tan said commented on RazerCon 2021 in a statement from the company: ‘RazerCon was born as our way of saying thank you to our fans and partners, as well as to all gamers around the world. Together we are advancing the industry, evolving competitive gaming, and redefining entertainment. That to me is worth celebrating, and we’ll be doing just that and so much more at this year’s RazerCon.’ He then further added; ‘The event is going to be packed with exclusive announcements and reveals from Razer and our partners, and the kind of entertainment that you will not want to miss, so make sure you tune in.’

It’s eight hours long, so don’t expect wall-to-wall announcements. However, interested fans can register for the event and get involved in all the merriment of the world’s first eight-hour long gaming live stream featuring a transatlantic chess battle that happens to be carbon neutral. Also, new stuff will be announced, probably.

When is RazerCon 2021?

RazerCon 2021 will take place on October 21 at 10AM PST / 6PM BST / 7PM CEST. However, there will also be an additional preshow that will begin two hours earlier. The stream is scheduled to end around 6PM PST, making for a fairly lengthy live stream. It may be worth popping this one on a monitor to passively watch, rather than give your full, undivided attention for a full eight hours, though they do promise such talents as DJ Soda, from South Korea, Viva La Dirt League, and what is sure to be a riveting cross-Atlantic chess battle between the two masters Anna Rudolf and Levy Rozman.
