Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to release tomorrow (April 28th) and we’ve already seen a snippet of its performance from a user on Twitter. And it’s not good news we’re afraid. Here’s why the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PC performance is painfully bad. And why does this Twitter user has warned players against Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC

Poor PC ports have been in the industry for a long time, but we expected better from Respawn Entertainment. This studio produced the likes of Titenfall and Apex Legends, both of which perform beautifully on the PC. We hope this isn’t another rush port to PC.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor performs really poorly on PC

Whilst we don’t officially have a review copy of the game, we have seen a Tweet from a Twitter user and YouTuber Skill Up @SkillUpYT, who detailed some of the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor shortcomings in a Tweet.

Skill Up explains that, whilst the game itself is a great game but you should avoid it for now if you’re playing on a PC, this is due to terrible FPS that cannot be improved by changing the settings. The second Tweet delves into more detail on the specifics of the performance issues.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor PC performance is painfully bad

Apparently, the game struggles to maintain 40 fps on a 2080 Ti, a GPU that is still widely considered as a good GPU, and a 4090 system cannot maintain a solid 60 fps, which is totally unacceptable.

It’s unknown what resolution Skill Up is playing the game at, We would assume it’s probably 4K considering the RTX 4090. We’d also predict that the 2080 Ti system is either trying to run at 4K or 1440p. If these are 1080P numbers then, that would be a surprise.

There is a patch on PC planned for the 28th of April, which is the day of release, so it is good to know that Respawn looks like it’s aware of the issues, but whether the patch will improve any of the performance issues remains to be seen in the day one patch.

Final Word

We hope that the performance of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC is sorted out soon. Whilst only the privileged managed to get their hands on a review copy, the game is set to release to the masses in less than a day. Star Wars is not going to be met with a good reception if performance issues this severe continue to plague the game.

This was why a Tweet warns players against Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on PC.
