The H150i ELITE LCD is a fantastic contender in LCD CPU cooler space, built with that fantastic Corsair quality we all know and love. You know you like the look, it’s not a matter of “if”, it’s a matter of “when”.  The H150i LCD features a 2.1-inch IPS LCD display. Whether you wish to showcase CPU temps, liquid temps, or your funniest meme in the form of an image or animated GIF, this 480 X 480 ultra-bright LCD can handle it.

Corsair ICUE is the pinnacle of RGB software, allowing for almost infinite RGB customization for fans, RAM, mice, and anything else Corsair you may be lucky enough to possess. But it’s not just RGB we have to customize today, but a whole LCD sensor panel and ICUE has you covered. Corsair debuted a brand new fan series with the H150i ELITE. The ML RGB ELITE Series Fan, coming in both 120 and 140mm sizes, boasts a 2000 ± 10% RPM and an airflow rating of 14.86 – 58.10 CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute) for the 120mm model, which is the model featured on the h150i.

Even under the LCD screen, this CPU block looks like it means business, and it definitely possesses the technology to back it up. The brains at Corsair have managed to engineer a pump that can push a whopping 0.87L of liquid per minute, all while generating less than 20dBA – just for comparison, a careless whisper (not the song, that’s much louder) is about 30dB.

Pros
  • Colorful and unified design with LCD display and RGB fans
  • High performance pump and cooler
  • Large range of compatibility
Cons
  • A more expensive AIO

The NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 360 is a relatively new AIO CPU cooler, but NZXT has been in the AIO game for a long time. When you pick up an NZXT cooler you’re met with superior quality and sleek, stylish aesthetics.  The Kraken features a 2.36” diameter rounded LCD display capable of full 24-bit color, you can display most types of media on this display thanks to NZXT CAM. So you can display your favorite picture of GIF proudly in front and center of your system on this 640 x 640px screen.

The NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 360 features three F120 RGB core fans. Including a controller the 120mm fans are great high-pressure fans for the radiator they are attached to. With a 500-1,800 RPM spec, they could potentially reach a noise level of 33.88 dBA. However, it does provide an airflow of 78.86 CFM and an air pressure of 2.57mm H2O to keep things cool.

The CPU block is a rounded feat of genius ingenuity, housing a motor capable of 800 – 2,800 ± 300RPM that pushes liquid at an alarmingly fast rate. The block is constructed of aluminum with a brushed black finish.

The Kraken is also good for a 6-year warranty, if this isn’t a testament to its reliability, we don’t know what is.

Things to consider when looking for the best CPU cooler with a screen

Selecting the best CPU cooler with a screen is an exciting venture, blending performance with aesthetics. Here are several crucial factors to consider when embarking on the quest for the ideal cooler that not only keeps your processor chilled but also adds a visual flair to your setup.

  • Compatibility: Ensure that the CPU cooler is compatible with your specific processor socket. Different CPUs may require different mounting mechanisms, so double-check compatibility to avoid any installation issues.
  • Size and Clearance: Examine the physical dimensions of the CPU cooler and your PC case. Ensure that the cooler fits comfortably inside your case without obstructing other components, such as RAM modules or graphics cards. Be especially mindful of clearance issues if you have a compact case.
  • Display Type and Quality: Evaluate the type of screen the cooler offers. Some coolers feature full-color LCD or OLED displays, providing vibrant and detailed visuals. Consider the size and resolution of the screen to ensure it meets your aesthetic preferences and complements your overall setup.
  • Customization Options: Look for a CPU cooler with customization options for the display. The ability to personalize graphics, animations, or system information on the screen allows you to tailor the cooler’s appearance to match your gaming rig or theme.
  • Software Compatibility: Check if the CPU cooler comes with user-friendly software that allows you to control the display and monitor temperatures. A well-designed software interface enhances the overall user experience and ensures smooth operation.
  • Performance and Cooling Capacity: Don’t compromise on cooling performance. Aesthetics are crucial, but the primary function of a CPU cooler is to dissipate heat effectively. Consider the cooler’s thermal design, heat pipe technology, and the type of fans it employs to ensure optimal cooling for your CPU.
  • Noise Levels: Pay attention to the noise levels produced by the cooler’s fans. A balance between cooling efficiency and quiet operation is essential, especially if you prioritize a quiet computing environment.
  • Build Quality and Materials: Assess the build quality of the CPU cooler. High-quality materials and construction not only contribute to durability but also convey a sense of craftsmanship. A well-built cooler is likely to have a longer lifespan.
  • Budget Considerations: Set a budget for your CPU cooler with a screen. While these coolers can offer advanced features, they may also come with a higher price tag. Determine the features that are essential for your needs and find a cooler that strikes a balance between performance and cost.

Why do you need a CPU cooler with a screen?

Well, why not? Screens are very useful for displaying the information we need. That may be an image, a cat GIF, or sensory information, but that’s the beauty of it, choice.

Internal screens are a great way to personalize a PC setup but they require some degree of setup you may be uncomfortable performing. AIO LCD setups negate all of that extra setup, as they require no extra treatment than a normal AIO would.

FAQs

What can you put on a CPU cooler screen?

As we selected the RYUJIN III as the best CPU cooler with a screen, we’ll use that as an example. The RYUJIN has Aida64 integration, meaning you can use the CPU cooler screen to monitor your system status. you can even put up a GIF, picture, or video of whatever you like.

Does the screen affect CPU cooler performance?

No, the screen does not affect CPU cooler performance, it’s just an additional component on top of the CPU cooler’s pump It doesn’t in any way mess with the cooling capacity of the CPU cooler.

It would be a different story if the screen was mounted to the radiator, as this is where all the heat dissipation happens and it requires clean, uninterrupted airflow.
