Alienware AW3423DW and the Neo G9 have truly memorable designs, which is something to keep in mind if you are picky about aesthetics. Alienware AW3423D looks like it came straight out of a sci-fi movie.

It has a futuristic white stand and a white-on-black back with an aquamarine neon logo, setting a new standard for sleek and modern aesthetics. The Neo G9 doesn’t lag behind though – its humongous 49-inch 1000R curved screen also has a white back with a catchy, elite outlook.

The standout points of these two are their panels: Alienware AW3423DW proudly boasts a magnificent QD-OLED (99.3% DCI-P3!) on a 34-inch screen with a less aggressive 1800R curve, while the Neo G9 has a Quantum Mini-LED backlight.

Both are based on quantum dots, so it makes only a small difference in quality: Alienware AW3423DW is slightly superior in darker environments, while the Neo G9 fares better when it comes to durability.

The Neo G9 has a higher refresh rate of 240Hz, whereas the Alienware AW3423DW has a 175Hz. It offers an unbelievable 0.1ms response time though, completely banishing input lag from your reality.

The 1ms response time found in the Neo G9 is also more than enough though – you would hardly notice the difference. They differ in their adaptive synchronization technologies: FreeSync Premium Pro for Neo G9, and G-Sync Ultimate for Alienware AW3423DW.

Alienware AW3423DW vs Neo G9: Performance

Here, both monitors are the cream of the crop. Alienware AW3423DW is made for gaming of the highest end. The 0.1ms response time ensures that there is virtually no input lag and your gameplay is buttery smooth. Pair that with a QD-OLED panel and two HDR modes (HDR 1000 Peak and HDR 400 True Black), and you’ve got a display that’s completely immune to whatever you throw at it.

Next to it, the Neo G9’s 240Hz refresh rate and ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio (5120×1440 resolution) place it as an even better option for the extravagant gamers out there. It has also a peak brightness of 2000 nits – Samsung always gets that good, along with the colors. This gigantic monitor really doesn’t lack anything performance-wise, as you would expect from one of this caliber, just as the Alienware AW3423DW.

Alienware AW3423DW vs Neo G9: Price

As far as the price goes, both monitors are of the highest end. Alienware AW3423DW is currently priced at $1299, while the Samsung Neo G9 is on an amazing deal now on Samsung’s official website, seeing its price drop from $2299 to $1699.

If you’re looking for a monitor that won’t break the bank, you’d be better off considering some other amazing displays. The AW3423DW is $400 cheaper as of now, so it’s around 25% more affordable than the Neo G9.

Alienware AW3423DW vs Neo G9: Which is best

Choosing between these two monitors is really hard. However, purely performance-wise, the Neo G9 gets our vote. By a very small margin though – the bigger refresh rate, larger display with a more enthralling curve, and slightly better colors in daylight make it so. But when we consider the price, we say it’s your pick. It’s either the majestic size and immersion of the Neo G9 or a more standard display with stunning imagery in the Alienware AW3423DW – the choice is all yours.
