VIVE XR Elite battery life
According to the claims made by HTC on their site, the VIVE XR Elite offers a battery life of up to 2 hours. With the controllers capable of a reported 15 hours.
The XR Elite comes with a detachable battery pack. This detachable battery pack is also hot-swappable, meaning that you can remove it while your headset is running. How convenient, right? You can detach the battery pack to make the headset feel more comfortable and lightweight on your head.
Additionally, you can buy multiple hot-swappable battery packs, meaning that you could, in theory, have a super long battery life, but it will cost you.
The rechargeable battery pack can be charged via USB-C. But the fact that it only offers two hours of continuous power is actually a little off-putting. You will be receiving battery warnings while using the VR, which may interrupt your overall experience.
However, the battery can be recharged quite quickly. Thirty minutes of charge will give you a battery life of an hour. So you can recharge the entire battery within an hour. As for the VIVE XR Elite controllers, they can last up to 15 hours. However, the battery life may vary depending on your usage.
