The product page for Colorful’s GeForce RTX 4070 Ti BattleAx Deluxe graphics card has been posted online. According to the new listing, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is, in fact, Nvidia’s “unlaunched” GeForce RTX 4080 12GB, which is anticipated to be among the top graphics cards.
4070 Ti vs 4080: key differences
The specification sheet states that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti employs the same silicon, known as the AD104 (Ada Lovelace) die, as the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB. Up to 7,680 CUDA cores are housed on the 295 mm2 chip. Colorful could not confirm the quantity of CUDA cores. However, we do not believe Nvidia will reduce the die size.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is anticipated to use the whole die, which means that in addition to the 7,680 CUDA cores, it will also have access to 240 Tensor cores and 60 RT cores.
A base clock of 2,310 MHz along with a boost clock of 2,610 MHz characterise the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The GeForce RTX 4080 12GB, as it was formerly known, was up to 30% slower than the GeForce RTX 4080 or GeForce RTX 4080 16GB, according to Nvidia’s benchmarks. As a result, we already have a solid understanding of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti’s capabilities.
RTX 4080
The memory subsystem from the GeForce RTX 4080 12GB is still present in the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The graphics card will also include 12GB of fast GDDR6X memory with a 21 Gbps clock speed. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti would have a memory bandwidth of up to 504 Gbps with a large 192-bit memory interface, which is roughly 30% less than the GeForce RTX 4080’s standard performance.
