It looks like the sort of thing you could find in an arcade, but the Cooler Master ORB X is being labeled as a ‘fully immersive multi-purpose station’. Taking one look at it tells you why this is the case, and you definitely can’t miss it. It stands out in any room. In fact, we’ve come across one at Computex – which is currently taking place in Taipei this week. We find out if it’s the ultimate station for work and gaming.
Cooler Master sticks this in their catalog as part of their immersive products; it’s all about mixing technology and luxury together. Although you may look a little bit like a Bond villain if someone walked into your office and this is what they were greeted with, you can’t ignore the specs & features on board.
This impressive station was actually initially revealed at the tail end of last year, so it’s nice to be able to see it in person, with pre orders on the way. Let’s talk you through the details.

First off, you can take a look at the ORB X we came across at Computex just below. Here you can see it in the Arctic White color, though the Cooler Master website does say it will be available in Universe Black as well. The showcase we found was using a single monitor set up, but there is space for more.

The ORB X is built for both immersing yourself in your work, gaming, or movies alike, and this is achieved by the semi-enclosed cockpit-style build, with the fully automated & motorized shuttle dome closing down to give you some extra privacy. It’s certainly stylish too – additional props to the ARGB illuminated trims for with a range of color options available. Style is nothing without comfort though. Luckily, Cooler Master’s ORB X features a genuine leather ergonomic recliner, lumbar support, and adjustable seating & headrest.
There is support for up to three 27-inch monitors on the panel hanging in front of you, or just a single 34-inch monitor if you prefer. Combine this triple monitor setup with the dynamic soundstage 2.1 surround sound speakers and you can imagine why you can get lost in the ORB X. The hanging display also frees up plenty of desk space for your mouse and keyboard (or whatever other peripheral you want), with space for a laptop or tablet as well.

If you’re already looking forward to this luxury, you’re probably wondering where to buy one. Right now, the latest news is that pre-orders are on their way. You can’t currently sign up for pre-orders directly, but you can register on a waiting list for the ORB X.
