LG’s biggest improvement with the C4 is their new and improved Alpha 9 AI processor paired with the updated webOS, resulting in a much more responsive navigation. Samsung has the spotlight with its new anti-glare technology, giving the S95D an exceptionally brilliant panel.

This matte finish means you can use the S95D in a well-lit room and have no worries about annoying reflections, but it can also make the colors look dull. As expected, the LG C4 is more affordable than the Samsung S95D across all sizes. In fact, the price difference only grows as we move up the sizes. For instance, the 55” S95D is expected to be $500 more expensive, the 65” variant $600 more expensive, and the biggest 77” S95D a whopping $800 more than the 77” C4.

This makes the C4 a better value-for-money offering than the S95D, but it makes sense as the C-series has always been a mid-range option, and the S95D is meant to give a high-end experience with more premium features (and a premium price tag).

Is the Samsung S95D brighter than the LG C4?

While we still have to wait for some hands-on testing to confirm this, the S95D will likely be brighter than the LG C4. This is because of the QD-OLED panel technology that helps boost brightness levels by throwing Quantum Dot technology (found in bright QLED panels) into the mix. For comparison from last-gen, we can see that the C3 peaked at 815 nits, while the S95C achieved a massive 1,232 nits in HDR. A similar difference should be evident with 2024’s models.
